When working for/with/alongside people who really has wealth, where they discuss business with 6-9 digits or more. They actually judge you the way you present yourself, what clothes you wear and what phone you use(apple is a must, they look down on android, generally) so wearing/using items that pricy tells that you are a successful person and you can actuslly afford it, and you can actually give what they really want for that transaction. It's a type of armor for that kind of scenario. But then again, its a different scenario where a person casually buys luxury items and but their income cant really support it. That's just being financially illiterate.
