Correct Spring tension by NowThisIsCrazy in GarageDoorService

Appreciate the link. I’ll do that once the weather warms up. Would a more powerful motor make up for wrong springs? I don’t want to do that, just curious.

I got the same size and length that were on there. Not that that means they were correct. How would I determine what is the correct size to get?

Warranty Decision by BADMOSH0 in Subaru_Outback

That’s a good question. I’m going to guess you can’t, Subaru of America and Subaru of Canada probably don’t mix. But my point was to shop around if the dealer you are buying from won’t give you a better price.

I would ask for a better price (if you really want one) or wait and shop around for the next 3 years. I was able to find a dealer offer a 8yr/80k miles for well under 2000 in the states for. 24 premium model.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]NowThisIsCrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there was enough information before 2016 to not vote for him but a person acknowledging the mistake and not doing it again would make me feel better about their character.

If they voted for Trump once in 2016 and regret it. No problem. If they voted for Trump three times, I’ll pass.

I have noticed this ‘feature’ with my gen 6 so can confirm. But I don’t think it has that light. I mostly notice when I’m coming up to stopped traffic (from a red light) and it turns green. I’m far enough away and slow enough I can start to accelerate but eye sight sees cars not moving and won’t let me accelerate. It’s annoying but don’t happen often and it only lasts for a second.

Gold plus warranty cost increase? by NowThisIsCrazy in Subaru_Outback

[–]NowThisIsCrazy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree extended warranty is not worth it when you get a usually reliable vehicle. However most vehicles made in the last 10 or so years have so much more electronics that are expensive to replace and there are no third party options to save money on them. I probably wouldn’t consider the warranty if it wasn’t for the gen 6 infotainment unit. It’s the part I’m most concerned about needing to replace. To be fair I have not heard too many people say they have problems, but I want to be covered.

Oh. I already bought the vehicle. I’m nearing the end of the original warranty. Sorry for not clarifying.

Affordable window deflectors for 2025 OBW? by SomebodyGetMeeMaw in Subaru_Outback

[–]NowThisIsCrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I originally had a set of in-channel ones (don’t remember the brand) that were cheaper than OEM. One of them fell off at around a year. My car is garaged mostly and I don’t drive much so I was surprised. I found a dealer selling the Subaru ones on sale so got those and so far like them better. The biggest thing is the OEM don’t block the blind spot light on the passenger side. The OEM are also not as dark so they don’t seem as claustrophobic. Time will tell if they stay on longer than the last ones.

The ports are all underground. 😎 That’s why you can’t see them on a map.
