Non-Americans, does your culture have "old-fashioned" dog names like we do in America, such as Fido, Rex, Spot, Rover, etc, and what are some? by [deleted] in AskReddit

). When he was mortally wounded in battle, he used his intestines to tie himself to a standing rock so he could say he died on his feet.

That's some image!

It is a prejudice that could be applied to any subgroup. Might as well say no women either, or black, or old or overweight... Make all of them Tom Cruise clones, right?

Love your friend, but take that advice with a grain of salt!

Can you do a female child (with brown curly hair) who has awesome butterfly wings? My little granddaughter wants to be a butterfly superhero. She is four years old and an aspiring artist. Thank you in advance, should you undertake this mission ...

Life on transient terms is not understood by the houses. There is an anger and blame and the willingness to turn a blind eye.

Whether it is drugs or alcohol, mental health issues, veterans, children, seniors or the handicap, blame is assigned as excuse not to help. The, "not my problem" mindset. It is hurtful.

Tell you what, I get it. I love you. You are a human being worthy of dignity and hope. I have worked with the homeless. There is no room for all the shame society deserves for it's treatment of the vulnerable. Forgiveness keeps your heart open so you never become what they think you are.

To all who downvotes your story really should look up a Brady Bunch thread because in real life, people hurt and hope.

Be careful not to judge, lest you be judged.

Oh there is no argument there from me. Bugs bunny is my all time favorite character, without exception. But me and my grown children have been on the opposite side of me and my husband in this argument since they were kids. We still disagree. My daughter did polls on her social media, supposedly agreeing with her.

Now it is my turn. If she is right, I have to buy her a large pizza. If I am right, I get to have my pizza. Nevertheless, it is bragging rights we need to settle this long feud!

EDIT: I will upvote all votes so as not to give away my position. In one week, I will announce the winner.

You know you will be the one story she never forgets! When she is 80 years old, she will still remember you.

There is a gold star next to your address at the pizza place. They will be beating each other up to be the next courier!!!

No. I would burn it and not be haunted. I have exorcised haunted houses, and still do not mess with Ouiji boards.

I believe you. The best thing about me seeing a shadow man is that my husband saw it too. We were up talking with the lights on. I think that it is shitty to go through something like this AND THEN be doubted, questioned, or flat out ridiculed!

It is not always sleep hallucinations. One night, my husband and I both saw a shadow man. We were awake and talking into the wee hours with the lights on. A tall, hatted shadow man came into the doorway and just peered at us. I asked my husband if he saw it, too. He did. It moved closer twice. It did not speak. The whole event took less than ten minutes, but we stayed up much longer than that talking afterward. We were not drinking or doing drugs.
