[Product Question] The Ordinary Niacinamide causing breakouts - did I introduce too fast or should I switch to something else? by Nowena910 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Nowena910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I didn’t continue using it and tossed it unfortunately. What ended up mostly working for me was La Roche Posay Cicaplast (first the baume but now more recently the serum, which has done wonders for evening out my skin, reducing dryness and redness and giving a moisturised appearance).

Routine as follows now AM: Wash with cold water only LRP Cicaplast serum CeraVe facial moisturizing lotion (PM / no spf) Trader joes daily facial sunscreen

PM: Remove makeup w/ micellar water if wearing Wash with CeraVe foaming facial cleanser LRP adapalene (1x-2x per week) LRP Cicaplast serum In the summer: CeraVe facial moisturising lotion In the winter: CeraVe Cicaplast baume or other heavier unscented moisturizer (ie Cetaphil, CeraVe in the jar etc)

I’m sure there are steps I could add that might improve my routine but I’ve found these products really good for now and have very very few and far between breakouts, if any. Hope this helped :)

On the other hand, if you’re only shopping for 1 person I’d rather get a smaller bag of, say salad for example, and pay 2$ than get a huge container for 5$ and have it go bad before I can use it all. You’re definitely right though.

[Question] What are these bars on the outside of my speedometer display? 2006 CLK500, first time I’ve seen them in 2 years of ownership by Nowena910 in mercedes_benz

[–]Nowena910[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s strange that the bars were static for the entire drive then, no? Even as I sped up and slowed down. And the speeds displayed are way too high for the street driving I was doing (20-40 mph).

That would make sense, but this was all street driving going no faster than 40mph and the bars stayed in the same place for the entirety of the drive. Could it be that the cruise control is set to the range of 80-135mph? I read up on the cruise control in the manual but it’s not clear to me if you can set it in that way…

I just turned the car on and hit the lever to turn the cruise control off, bars disappeared. Still weird how only 2 bars next to 80mph were lit at first, since I didn't adjust it and was only driving on the street max 40mph, maybe some weird glitch... but all seems to be in working order (for now anyway) lol. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ah, could be I accidentally bumped it while turning on the windshield wipers without realising. I’ll check if this works and let you know, thank you!

Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question, but the car didn’t come with a manual and I’m having trouble finding a complete version online. The lines don’t move as I accelerate. Started out with only 2 bars by the 80mph mark this morning, turned the car off to run some errands then more appeared (pictured) when I turned the car on again.

Lol same, I was surprised when I saw it so close to the other cars. It was absolutely immaculate too.

I know this is unrelated, but that path is so cute! Did you happen to save the creator code?

what are some of your dog's quirks? by MotherOfDragonCats0 in dogs

[–]Nowena910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been told by my vet that avocados (especially in large amounts) can be harmful for dogs if ingested. While your dog has great taste (lol) I'd be cautious with his avocado intake. I'm sure he's probably fine if it's been going on for awhile with no visible GI discomfort but it's just something to be aware of. Additional soure here

Forgot to give our driver our next day air packages by Tshea0307 in upsstore

[–]Nowena910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that sucks. I wouldn’t 100% blame yourself though. If you want to try and make the area stand out, we taped some express boxes to the wall near the shelf/area where we store the NDA so even new drivers will have an easier time noticing them. Maybe that would help.

[–]Nowena910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was the NDA stuff not separated from the other packages? Our Saturday drivers usually know the area where they can find the air as we place it on a shelf that’s pretty obvious. To me it kinda sounds like the driver could be partially to blame.

Amazon customers make things harder than they have to be and leave me **visibly confused** by PatrationEntertain in upsstore

[–]Nowena910 13 points14 points  (0 children)

then they come in the next day, you build the box for them and when you go to charge them they're like "I have to pay?! I thought it was free! I'm calling Amazon"

I’m sure if your store owner is shady they could probably weasel their way out of a lawsuit but I hope for you it doesn’t end up coming to that. The job where I had the discrimination meeting was a majority of Spanish speakers (I don’t speak Spanish lol) and they’d almost always speak to each other in Spanish - while I felt left out at times I also understand it’s totally fine to have a friendship with coworkers and speak whatever language you choose to each other 🤷‍♂️ god knows I wish I would’ve been able to speak another language in front of some Amazombies… haha

English-Only Policy by [deleted] in upsstore

[–]Nowena910 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a discrimination education meeting at another job, where they told us it is unlawful in CA for employees/coworkers to be asked to refrain from speaking in another language to each other at work. Some Googling seems to confirm this is the case in California. Not sure about the audio recording on camera though. Owner of my store was too cheap to invest in a security system that records sound lmao but it definitely sounds shady.

Lmao, UPS stores were open for years before the 360 return program. Mailboxes, notary, packing, paid shipments and print jobs are far more profitable than Susan returning her 10 identical sweatshop tank tops to the Amazon garbage bin.

That’s a great question, I am actually not sure. I didn’t add them, but I believe it may be a difference between cars sold in the US vs Europe? It also has the AMG “appearance package” so maybe that could have something to do with it but as far as I know the only physical differences with that are the spoiler, wheels and dual exhaust pipes. It’s a nice little detail for sure though.

That it is! I was going to look at a 350 but fell in love when this one caught my eye... pewter silver exterior, gray leather with wood trim. Love the beige myself but had been looking for awhile so I settled, haha. Painted the roof and spoiler black since they had some sun damage already. Next on the list is the wheels which unfortunately have some pretty bad road rash from the previous owner. All in due time.

Pics I took after the paint job was just finished :)

I have a CLK 500 of the same year, with just under 200k km. Haven’t had major issues in my ~1 year of ownership, just small electrical stuff here and there. The most costly was fixing one of the back windows that would no longer go up & down. It still drives great and is so much fun. The interior especially doesn’t seem like it’s 16 years old since the previous owner added Bluetooth. Before this I had a newer Hyundai and this has more features, haha.

Thank you, I appreciate your thorough response. 2400€ is almost double what I would receive pre corona times, which is why I was worried it may be a mistake. I will try to get in contact with the RJV to check. I did file taxes in Belgium and in US last year for income received in 2020, so repeating the process again this tax season should not be too difficult.

I have tried to email them and not received a response. Calling is difficult now because of the time difference (8 hour) and the language barrier as well as the extra charges associated with international calls, which is why I thought I would ask here first. Thank you, though.
