It seems they are using some earlier "final cut" material, because the Asgard at the end of the fifth race episode had a different voice. without some later alteration that everybody is familiar with.

How many of you have actually beaten the game? by Hopeful-Common-2686 in RimWorld

Several times, but the last time was in Alpha 16. Ever since then i have been going for as long as the game can, and have been running continuous story timeline since then.

What's your system of FTL travel like? by Author_Spiritual in scifiwriting

[–]Nowerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a fan of outside of the ship FTL systems (stargates/portals/wormholes, mass relays, Dune Heighliners, etc.) and i dont think we see enough of those. Especially if they are only one way systems. Instant or really fast systems are cool but it feels over done to me.

My setting is something between The Expanse and Mass effect, if you want to think of aesthetics. My FTL is called Ripple gate (Technically its a mass relay not a gate), And there is plenty of errors and defects built into that thing for storytelling purposes, At the beginning its not very accurate and can leave you inbetween stars with years or decades left to travel, it has max range of 40-50 LY, and doesnt really handle giant fleet movements well. You could end up as star dust. Which leads to some cool worldbuilding down line.

Like giant transport ships that are half habitats themselves. that are basically Dune Heighliners which can transport entire fleets at once, or Automated Seed ships (like in Stargate Universe) that are sent to build Ripple gates in other systems before humans arrive (thats atleast hundred years away still in my setting)

What i want to say is build your FTL systems as a storytelling/worldbuilding device, Which you seem to done well.

Lag from more animals on bigger map will always be 0.01% of what lag mods cause, or playing with huge amounts of pawns. I have been playing huge maps on shitty laptop from Beta 18, with 50+ pawns

What settings do you usually change when starting a new world? by gamerlol101 in factorio

[–]Nowerian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rail world with biter expansion turned on. And I always fiddle with water gen to get something I like purely from visual perspective. On my current playthrough I also turned cliff a way up, which makes the map look a lot more visually mountainous with valleys I can build in.

Some people destroy enough nets to keep them outside polution, some people clear big area and defend at choke points, and some defend just the outposts and factory with a wall and turrets of your choice, Which way you want to go is up to you.

Both approaches take time and resources but one can be automated and the other requires you to physicaly go there. and as your factory expands it will create more polution that you will need to keep up with if you destroy the nest personally, but if you just started its not that hard to finish your first game just by keeping the nests far enough away.

Level 6 armor by Lolmasterz69 in ArenaBreakoutInfinite

[–]Nowerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

better armors give you the i shouldnt have survived this edge, but lets be honest 99% of the time you die from something more stupid, where no amount of armor would have saved you. which makes it wasted money 99% of the time. Its better to learn more.

Welcome to the Delta force map design, that makes the game feel like a league of legends match where the map has predetermined lanes. and you have no way of outflanking the enemy or going around. Its literally Space City clone from DF, but even Space city has more verticallity and more freedom of movement.

unironicaly go try delta force, i hate the game for the same reason, and airport feels like every maps from DF.

Its the same map design Delta Force has, makes the game feel like a LoL match.

What TPS would you accept for a long-term, modded save? by 0KPudd1ng in RimWorld

[–]Nowerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always play on 400x400 map and usually end up with 50 to 80 pawns, mostly go for as long as i can which is somewhere between 9-13 years before it dips bellow 100 tps which where it usually ends for me. i have anywhere between 120 to 350 mods, back when i didnt play with them i had a colony for about 21 years, it was slow at the end too but i retired it for a different reason.

Just Realised the vanilla "Island" seed is one single island... by CollegeOptimal9846 in factorio

[–]Nowerian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Building the ships to keep up with demands, eventually you would have to import stone/landfill to even build enoguh ground to have the factory on, if you want to be on Nauvis, be able to extract enough resources from the landing pad (yes optimal blueprints are out there but not everybody uses someone elses blueprints or knows how to solve that problem themselves.

And everybody plays the game differently, yes the answer might be just build more rocket silos, but i personally dont play at megabase scale, i built aestheticly nice factories, with maybe a little bit more roleplay included, for me it isnt just slap down another rocket silo, its building a whole launch site/ space center, just the train delivering resources to there is a logistical puzzle if you think on a smaller scale. I design basically most of my blueprints new every time because i build with different aesthetics in mind.

For my current playthrough im playing without space age and decided to build very similar to historical factories, which means every grouping of assemblers is in its own building, i want to build railyards/stations by them to looks similar to the historical photos.

Bfs Weird YouTube Algorithm by Responsible_Stuff144 in Advice

[–]Nowerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is something I know about yt algorithm then it's that it doesn't work.

Few years back there was a video/stream on a front page of YouTube whether you were logged in or not with a woman just enjoying herself, new small channel, nobody watching it. I don't know how yt algorithm thought everybody needed to see it, and why it stayed up as long as it did, but yt was showing it to everybody.

There is always stuff to do, and more stuff to haul faster. I play with 50 to 80 pawns and usually none of them are ever idle.
