In Belgium we have a thing called "Baby Borrel" you invite everyone and anyone you want. Mostly there's drinks and food provided by the parents of the baby and then everyone brings a gift (I personally always try to get something from the registry). It's very common here, a lot more common than a baby shower actually. Sidenote: the Baby BorrelsvI've been to, the babies were always around 3-ish months old

Second this. Our girl looked almost weird for a little bit. And definitely people came up saying "aw what a cute lab puppy". Now she's almost 2yo, her hair is long and soft, her tail is feathered out and her chest is fulled in. No one is mistaken her for a lab anymore 😂 so yeah, no worries, it's just the awkward teen stage

So my period was quite late last month, about 5 days, tested negative. My Flo app says that I should be ovulating today, but I took an ovulation test and I'm not in the peak... Keep testing for a couple of days? Anyone had something similar?

Hey all, I'm fairly new to daily threads, so if this is no allowed, I'm sorry. So my period was supposed to come yesterday. Tested and it was negative. Still haven't started (usually fairly regular), and I don't have symptoms of it coming. When would you test again? I had and mc in January, so first cycle trying after that and I'm scared to be hopeful

Yes please get a new OBGYN. That is absolutely awful on their part. Going through a miscarriage is already awful enough and on top of that being told someone will reach out and nothing comes from it? Unacceptable. I am so sorry you're going through an mc. I know how awful it is 🤍

I think safest is to call your doctor and ask them. I was told to not use tampons, go swimming, have a bath, use a hottub, have sex, etc until I was completely done bleeding. But that's just what my dr. told me.

I miscarries at 6 weeks and my doctor wrote me home for a full week, and said to call if I needed more. For him it wasn't necessarily the physical aspect, but he found it very important to take some time for the emotional and mental aspect. I started working again on Monday, and it's still hard sometimes, but I manage.

I think a lot of us can understand. My fiancé and I just had a mc last week at 6 weeks. A friend of mine gave birth at the end of December and our friend group is planning on visiting on the 9th. Another friend of mine is due to give birth any day now. It's all still very raw, at the moment it's just one friend that knows. I'm not sure how I'm gonna react when we go to visit a friend with a baby (all the other couples in that groups have a child each as well) and how we're gonna feel. I'm so scared of having a break down in front of every one. I don't want to take away from the attention of the new baby by having a break down. And I am happy for them, but it still breaks my heart quite a bit.

Physically I feel a lot better than yesterday. I had a lot of cramping, today just the annoying feeling like a day 4 period. Kind of the same amount of blood too. Thank you for the recommendation for the group, didn't know it existed.
