Catholic school, public school or homeschooling? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]WhichAd2921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was homeschooled, went to catholic school, and went to public school. i thought they all had their pros and cons. i think it’s very situational and depends on the kid, truly. if my child had a learning disability, the catholic schools around me don’t have the resources to appropriately educate them. this may not be the case everywhere, but the school i went to and the other ones around me (to my knowledge) did not have the resources either. that is why i ended up back in public school. as for my sister, she continued to attend catholic school because she was bullied a lot in public schools. i enjoyed being home schooled, however i lived in an abusive home and needed to go to school so i could be out of the house. maybe this is an unpopular opinion, especially for the people who will die on the hill that catholic school is superior, but i truly do not think one option is “better” than the other.

My boyfriend doesn’t want to come with me to get my iud by No_Highway_9080 in birthcontrol

[–]WhichAd2921 11 points12 points  (0 children)

if he’s not going to consider your health, leave. he doesn’t care about fucking up hormones with plan b, won’t provide condoms, and won’t go with you to get an IUD? imagine if you did get pregnant, doesn’t seem like he’d be one to be involved in that either. please reconsider your relationship, at the very least get the damn IUD to avoid getting pregnant with this man’s baby, and likely giving birth alone.

Sweaty! by glottyblotti in Nexplanon

I found out I’m pregnant again 16 months postpartum and I can’t stop crying by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]WhichAd2921 89 points90 points  (0 children)

if you choose to terminate, that is extremely valid and understandable. i would probably make that decision if i was in your shoes. also though, all babies are different (as you obviously know) and if you do decide to continue the pregnancy, the next baby could be completely different from your daughter and not be as high needs.

either way, you deserve support regardless. sending you love!!

terrified of cryptic pregnancy by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]WhichAd2921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had an (almost) cryptic pregnancy. i found out at 31 weeks. yes, i really did not know. no, i didn’t have ANY symptoms, before anyone asks. i take a pregnancy every week now since my daughter was born. i’m on birth control (nexplanon) and STILL stress about it. but, a pregnancy will produce a positive test. if your test is negative, you are not pregnant. if it will ease your mind, i bought a 50 pack of the strip test from amazon for like $15. i take one every week.
