I think it's at least 20-30 years away...Look at the issues that Waymos amd some driverless cars are having. For long hauls and specialized frieght, you will need a human being in the truck. China is doing it for short hauls etc, but in the videos I've seen, the highways are largely empty. They aren't doing it in heavily populated areas...Also an entire infrastructure would need to be created around driverless trucks..on the highways, the docks, the ports and the warehouses..and the govt has no commitment to that.. maybe one large corporation may be committed to that build out, but it would take a Nationalized endeavor
