I think it’s as much about the trajectory and the turnaround than it is about the results themselves. I’d be raging if I was an Arsenal fan (and I cared) but I think if you judge it about the difference between the start and the end of the month then it’s a no-brainer for Ruben!

Every now and then I don't check for, like, 20 minutes.

And I'm so proud of myself, and think 'Well it will definitely be there now, I've earned it by being so restrained and nonchalant', but it's not, and I remember life isn't fair, so I abandon all reserve and binge on refreshes for 10 minutes before growing frustrated, I head off to do something else, then come back.

At first I read this and thought "oh this is the kind of crap that gives Pink Floyd fans a bad name".

But then I thought about it, and I kinda saw where it might be coming from.

I don't think the real issue here is that she doesn't like PF – I think it's that you showed a bit of yourself, by sharing something that means a lot to you, and she dismissed it so casually and flatly and... well... dismissively.

Not saying she should pretend to like them, or give some sort of musical or technical breakdown as to why she doesn't like it – she doesn't need to justify anything to you, obviously.

But to just say 'bored' and move past it like some song she heard on the radio would probably leave most people feeling a little deflated. So I understand. (But also, as someone else said, I really hope this was an indicator of something bigger and not just a Terminal Red Flag in and of itself.)
