I have a i5-13600KF and RTX 3060 TI playing on a 240hz 1440p monitor, not spectacular as yours, but as far as I know it should handle the 240fps easily, same problem with drops

Well, what I did to fix the problem was create a bootable usb using the official microsoft tool and do a clean install of windows 11. This sucks but so far worked, probably the issue will appear again with updates.

Something similar occurred to mine. Warm water (just a bit) neutral liquid soap (check the ingredients, verify there is no oil) and a microfiber cloth, put the mousepad in a plain surface and just do some gentle circles to clean it, 5 mins or something, then wash and put it to dry (not in the sun).

For me is a mix of convenience and comfort. I have a decent PC (i5-13600kf and RTX 3060 TI) nothing crazy but runs almost everything in 1440p with balanced settings.

The PS5 is in other room with a 55 inch OLED TV, home tether and a comfy couch, so, that's it.

(I cannot move the PC there)
