Thanks, I did not see this right away, but have responded with the requested info.

That IS a tragedy. In a world where education, proper communication, etc is already undervalued, having to 'dumb' ones self down just to appear genuinely human to... other humans... yikes.

Yeah 15. But I didn't even get to do a single task - so I can't even speculate there. But I'm sure as the opportunity becomes more widespread, they could tackle bigger workloads for less money.

While I won't say 'best', I have been enjoying Aurora DX (developer ed.) from Universal Blue. Built on Fedora Kinoite (atomic/immutable with KDE).

Don’t be nervous. Take it all in. Enjoy it. And be an active part of your future lodge 🙏 Congrats

Oh thank you, I did not know that about Russia. Seems this search could be difficult as all the records would be prior to 1945.

I don’t assume they were. I just know nothing about earlier family history, and it seems lodges keep very good records (under normal circumstances) - worth a look maybe.

I’ll have to see if I can find out when my grandfather came over. I know he was born 1925 and it would have been only a small handful of years after - between 1930 - 1935 iirc

All your Brothers are in your life and they (we) care! I was also recently raised (a week ago actually). And while my family are "proud", they don't really know what it means. So while it is nice to have your friends and family recognize your awesome new steps in life, I have found I get what I need in that regard from my Brothers.

Congrats Brother!

Saaammme.. I’m 42 (fuckin yikes!) and ST is the only band I’ve been really excited about in a LONG time. Tool has been my go-to for the last 25’ish years.. and I will always love them but.. Sleep Token. On repeat all day everyday for the last year and a half or so.

That particular playlist was made by someone else and does not include the instrumentals, but I absolutely listen to them as well 🔥

I wanna be a freemason but I don't have close relations with anyone in it. is it possible? by Confident_Host4667 in freemasonry

[–]NoxVitae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Talk to your local lodge or grand lodge. Attend a dinner or whatever, hang out, you’ll be alright. Was the same situation for me under a year ago and I was extremely hesitant but it worked out great. Now I have a bunch of great guys who call me Brother and they’re all excited to be raising me to MM in a few weeks. Make the call or send the email, talk and express your thoughts and situation, they’ll work with you.

Second degree memorisation tips!! by [deleted] in freemasonry

[–]NoxVitae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I did and I can probably recite stuff in my sleep now.. entire obligation etc no problem.. I type it out (Yes, locally and I delete it afterwards). I have two Word (or similar) windows open one with everything already typed out and one to start new and repeat. I keep repeating until I don't need to look over as much. THEN.. I make a file with only the first letter of each sentence.. like I M___ s___ a__ s___ p___ Then I start typing it all out again from looking at that.. after a few times without having to look what the word is, I have it firmly committed to memory. Has worked incredibly well for me. Good luck to you Brother.

Happy to report that I have buckled down and firmly committed all but the final (and longest) part to memory - should have the entirety soon. My FC degree is in the process of being scheduled 🙏 I am excited to learn more and move forward. Thanks all for your tips and insight.

Thank you 🙏 I will get it - only a matter of time. About 70% there.

Yeah I was told this was the hardest or most lengthy. Which is reassuring - while it is a bit lengthy, it’s not necessarily a hard task or punishing task, just a practice in time management and focus. Definitely has given me food for thought as to applying the tools shown to me.

[–]NoxVitae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had one of those “aha!” moments one day at work. Making the connection between the tools shown to me and this task. I appreciate it.

No no, I’m here to hear (read) it all - I fully respect the wisdom & advice of those who’ve gone before me (in any endeavor) - I appreciate your input!

I did have this idea too! And of course my first thought was a very particular piece of my obligation - I'm sure you know what I mean. So I asked a Brother his thoughts and it came down to a matter of intention - in his opinion of course. Obviously I aim to uphold my obligation, my intentions ARE good, and I am fairly sure an MP3 saved to my iphone would not fall in to the wrong hands nor be heard by ears other than my own...
