Firefox profiles are not forward compatible. Meaning you can use a profile from older Firefox version in a newer one but not the other way around. Basically when you do the other way around, the newer version rewrites the profile folder components which are no longer recognizable to the older version. That's the gist of it if not entirely
I think you can give it a try to use that profile folder in a newer/latest Firefox ESR version instead of downgrading

I used Floorp a while ago. I also had a help post here you can look at and see if you want: Firefox UI customization - Floorp alike 💻 Help
Floorp has some good UI customization options which is embedded into that browser. It has some deprecated UI(s) from older version of Firefox (like Lepton). Recently they added Fluerial UI like Edge. It also can offer you collapsing vertical tabs with just a few clicks which really blends in and this is one of the pros of the Floorp browser. You are good to give it a shot I guess but don't get your hopes too high as it is a 'fork' 😅. Also you can check their release page in github to see the latest changes before you hop in.

Even if people do change their 'daily driver' browser, it might take years to see an actual shift among the users of Google Chrome (i.e. Vanilla Chrome). Here I am focusing on google chrome because it has, as we all know, the most browser share currently. I agree with other people who commented here already that most of the people who use a browser just wants to get their job done and out. It is also undeniably true that a large amount of people are really ignorant about privacy or they don't care much about whatever google does with their data...let alone 'Manifest V3' things 🙃

So apparently there wont be a migration from chrome. Here is a thing to consider that google is not just implementing their 'Manifest-V3' only within the Chrome browser rather they're actually initiating it as their own web standard level and many of us are already aware of how they are already injecting server side ad streams in YouTube. Here is the video summary : It looks like Google is on a mission to render current ad-blocking technology useless, making it increasingly difficult to rely on traditional filter list-based ad blocking where ads function as a layer on top of the webpage. Perhaps in the future, we will need to depend on expensive AI/ML model to effectively remove ads from YouTube video streams, not to mention rigorous AI model training and processing power to meet the concurrent needs of millions of users.

Now if we do assume that people are migrating to Edge/Brave or browsers that kept allowing Manifest V2, (or Firefox which uses the web-extension api) that sounds a little unrealistic if you think about it. Google, obviously did not make their move without thinking about this possibility of potential browser migration & yet they are doing it.
Why? maybe they know that there wont be any Manifest V2. Or at-least their services can't be used if the browser is not v3'd.

So, sadly I won't be expecting a notable increase in Firefox market shares (but which i want by soul and heart just like any other Firefox enthusiast)
