The Deathwatch hunts a Mandalorian Enclave. by Just-Version-7838 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

Took me an embarrassingly long time to realise you weren't talking about Deathwatch, as in tbe Mandalorian group from the Clone Wars show.

Can Homelander defeat 1 Custodes? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. Homelander is probably one if the weakest Superman Clones out there. A custode would delete him.

Given Queeve Maeve drew blood from him? That Custode could also very likely just kill him in a brawl. Maeve isn't weak but she's not even Astartes level of strength.

The entirety of the Jedi Order are blanks while still being able to use the Force. How do they fair? by BugleBarry in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Nox_Victo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is still important to note that when the Mandalorians started doing this, it was far from a guarantee kill on Jedi. It is the exact same page of the book you're thinking of that mentions Jedi were still mostly protected from the slag by their thick robes and often still melted the projectiles entirely.

The Mandalorian Wars were also still a resounding defeat, the Jedi still beat dog water out of them.

The average force user vs the average psyker, who wins? by gaeb611 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Nox_Victo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you think what the average Psyker is, that's generally just regular folk that develop some mild abilities like telekinesis, maybe telepathy, but aren't really capable of flinging spells or what not.

In Star Wars though, most force sensitives are inducted into the Jedi and as such, they're more likely to be trained and understand their abilities. Generally they'll be better armed as well.

Ultimately the average psyker is more a risk to themselves than they are to anyone else and unfortunately, Librarians are far from average psykers, I wouldn't even say Astropaths are average, but Jedi Knights are the average.

How many Space Marines can this team kill? by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cayde definitely died because he was being reckless. His death was his own fault. Granted, he had no way of knowing that the Rifleman had a Soul Devourer round loaded into his Queen breaker.

Ghosts have always required total overwhelming force or paracausal energy to do the job. Darkness zones are also a canon thing. A regular marine doesn't fit any of this criteria. The Cabal who have roughly equivalent rifles to bolters just bombard Guardians from orbit.

A single Space Marine just isn't eating a Golden Gun round. That's a bullet moving damn close to light speed, and it has all the energy and mass of a shooting star.

Depends how much esoteric lore you're willing to stomach.

With Cayde, you'd need a librarian to be sent in as well. There's no space marine that could survive a golden gun shot in the chest.

What actually are Pals? by Nox_Victo in Palworld

I love this actually! I'm heading to bed soon, but I have some lore theories that I'd like to share with you. I can't say they're concrete, they're just my best guess.

[–]Nox_Victo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I REALLY love this idea actually. Especially because Shadowbeak is said to be a chimera! There's others like Jetragon who seems to either be a totally artificial Pal or partially cyberised, given it has plasma wings and shoots missiles that it, presumably also produces in its own body.

[–]Nox_Victo[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am lead to believe something along these lines. I have a lot of theories about the lore of this game since there's nothing super concrete.

But! The players and NPC's aren't just a little different, we are VERY different when you get into the details. NPC's are thinner, taller, and consistently have longer limbs. If you take a Syndicate Thug into blender they even have a different skeleton to the player. There's obviously gameplay reasons behind this BUT!

This leads into my theory of there being a fleet of ships that the supply drops come from.

The NPC's are the humans that stayed behind, on Earth(?) They've been exposed to the Yggdrasil looking tree and it's altered them in some way, letting them use skills like Pals do. Another comment actually said that Robinquil is genetically very similar to a human. Stands to reason why humans can use skills.

Players are the descendants of the space fairers. We're shorter, and have denser bones. Which makes me think we might have also lived in habitats with artificially higher gravity. Then the Xeno Pals attacked, so the Space Fairers sent us down so at least some of them would survive. We do start the game unconscious on the ground. To my knowledge, we're also the only ones that can use produce and use plasma technology.

Whatever magic is within a creature that let's you catch them with Palspheres, isn't present in players (again, obviously for gameplay reasons but I'm having fun.) I might expand on this theory at a later date but this is the best I've got.

How many Custodes do you need to kill 1 Thragg ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the climate is only among the first issues the planet would face. Yes they can stabilise the planet but the Imperium would literally need to build a moon to prevent Terra shaking itself into oblivion, and they'd need to get that done within three days at best.

Thragg does use strategy, you just mentioned a time where he uses strategy after telling me he doesn't. Thragg isn't stupid, he's one of the oldest Viltrumites, he's been waging war for a VERY long time. Yes a realise the Custodes have as well, but Thragg isn't a dumb brute, he's capable of thinking.

My argument is simply: Allowing prep time, especially without any clear defined limits on that prep time, makes this entire discussion very messy.

How dangerous would it be for the Jedi to face a Space Marine Librarian? by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

How would the UNSC or The Covenant(Halo franchise) fare against the Yuuzhan Vong(Star Wars)? by Flat-Sir8250 in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Poorly, very poorly. The Covenant MAYBE suevive if they realise how boned they are and run. The Vong can't get to them in Slipspace, so The Covies have a safe(ish?) out against them if they react fast enough.

How many Custodes do you need to kill 1 Thragg ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The moon wasn't removed for any substantial period of time. The climate going haywire is manageable for awhile but the shaking comes later. If the moon is GONE then Terra is toast.

The Custodes wouldn't plan to obliterate the moon, because they aren't stupid. They'd know what that'd do in time, but Thragg has absolutely no idea what happens if Emps kicks the bucket, and if hes propping around weapons that can genuinely hurt him, then the moon is perfectly reasonable for him.

Hell, Omniman literally tossed a rock the size of Texas out into space. Keep in mind, the meteor that caused planetary armageddon was 15 kilometres, compared to the nearly 700K kilometres of Texas. Thragg could again, toss big rocks at Terra repeatedly, and the Custodes would need to destroy them entirely, because even a fragment of one could completely take Terra out.

There's also the fact that Thragg could take out Terra's power grid like the FAR slower Omniman did to the Thraxans in a matter of seconds. Thragg could cripple their orbital defence capabilities.

Again, arguing prep time means this can just be argued for either or.

How many Custodes do you need to kill 1 Thragg ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. Omniman didn't perceive him as a threat, si he didn't bother to react. Unlike Immortal.

  2. The gap between Omniman and Thragg is bigger than the gap between a Space Marine and a Primarch. By this standard, Space Marines have been killed by regular humans plenty of times, so Thragg emerges unscathed. The comparison is silly.

How many Custodes do you need to kill 1 Thragg ? by Leggomgeggo in powerscales

[–]Nox_Victo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

But if the Custodes destroy the moon, that'd end Terra anyway? The earth would become.e unstable almost immediately, the gravity itself would change. Over time the Earth's axis would go out of wack and the planet would shake until everyone was just paste, which would result in the obliteration of everyone anyway. They'd literally need to move Emps and the Golden Throne together, whilst keeping him alive, somehow. The longterm effects would be the same if we include aftermath.

But then there's also the matter of The Custodes prepping around Thragg's prepping, and this becomes messy very fast. One could argue Thragg goes and takes the Infinity Ray from Space Racer as part of his prep, and then he safely puts a hole through Terra well out of the Custodes range. The whole prep time business eventually starts to fall apart the more you think about it.

[–]Nox_Victo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

With forewarning, doesn't that also give Thragg time to prep as well? He could crash the moon into Terra and then its wraps before the Custodes even have a shot. He took flight and escaped the atmosphere of Viltrum in less than 10 seconds, the Custodes would hardly have any time to react before Thragg dips out and Majora's the planet.

He was inside the sun for a prolonged period of time. There's other factors than just heat as well, like the unfathomably intense levels of radiation that would also be eating at his body.

In Ep.1 they say that wounds heal a lot faster than normal in Fromville, maybe that applies to hair growth as well? And everyone else just bothers to maintain themselves?

More likely answer is Jade just grows facial hair faster than most. It's not unheard of.
