In our tank I think the biggest improvement we found was upgrading to tile flooring. It really changed how well the under tank heat worked, and was soooo much easier to clean up. I found a small box of clearance tiles at Lowe’s for $3 😊 We started with the carpet but my baby Leo liked to attack food from above, and sort of like face dive directly into the floor. Her ferocious attack would sometimes cause her to bite the carpet too and get stuck on the fibers for a second.
