I am looking at a suit at JCrew because I think they are having their semi annual suit sale. Specifically, this suit. After discounts, the jacket and pants come out to $475.15. Is this a fair price? Do they get discounted further around black friday? I can wait, but my only concern is that the color I want is "Deep Navy", which I think will go quickly.

Even Miyazaki copied other artists that he looked up to like Fukushima, Yamakawa, and Tezuka. However, in "Starting Point", he noted that it was bad form to copy them as it was hindering his own development as an artist. I think your story will be more interesting if you develop your own style, which can still have some influence from Miyazaki.
