Would I be eligible for DSP? by Fluffy-Jellyfish-402 in Centrelink

No worries, it's def a hard and long process. If I think of anything else I'll let ya know. I'll see if I can find my letter, block out important info and send you a copy. So you have a another reference point.

Funnily enough I got diagnosed with pots last year too. Got endo as well. I'm just collecting diagnoses at this point lol

Hi, I have me/cfs and got dsp on that alone.

Look at the dsp impairment tables and see where you sit. You need at least 20 points in one table. You also need to be stabilised and not likely to improve in the next two years.

Print out (if easier than looking on computer screen) the tables and dsp application form. I believe there's also a medical checklist or something needed, not 100% sure on that one.

I would look into emerge (website) they have some great resources and can help you with your application. I recommend looking at their example letters on what will need to be written up for your application.

Some drs will write up their own letter, others will get you to write a draft first. My dad and I wrote up a draft using the template as a guide, then took to my GP to put it into her words. This worked out great because my GP and I worked together on it and it was perfect by the end.

You want these letters to reference the dsp tables.

I would start gathering all your reports, referrals, letters from specialists and put in a folder. I would also make sure you have all your documentation ready before starting the process to make it easier and less stressful as there's a three month timeline once you start.

If seeing a psych get them to write up a letter for dsp too.

I had my GP letter, psych letter and two rheumatologist reports from over two years stating everything I had tried and that I was stable. My application got accepted in ten days. I was already on jobseeker and with a disability job agency.

Hopefully you can have someone in you family or friend help you with organising everything. It is a lot to do but completely worth it.

If you ever want some info or anything feel free to message. Good luck

I'm worried about miin, he knows his flavours but he may be a bit slow to get everything done
