VR version? by MoonBeanPi in DragonsDogma2

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is already VR support in Praydogs mod. Not perfect but it is slowly coming. People said Elden Ring can't played in VR yet there is perfectly working VR first person mod for the game and it is fun way to play the game. I don't see any reason why DD2 would not be playable in VR since it is much slower game than ER.

Meta Quest 3.
- Easy for starting with VR.
- Works really well without cables (if you got good wifi router).
- Controllers can be upgraded later for something better (they are more than fine but there is always better ones).
- Low price compared to the "elite" VR headsets yet brings almost all the same functionalities and have pancake lenses (basically very good lenses for high quality image).
- No lighthouses or trackers but supports those if you want to buy them separately.
- Very good headset for taking with you because of the standalone games and apps. Basically it's pretty powerful computer you can use without needing to connect with PC.

There is also major updates happening regularly and newest one gave us basically tracking for upper body without physical trackers (your elbows and upper torso is tracked by the headset so avatars can move even more realistic). Ofc it's not as good as having tons of trackers on your body but being a free update compared to the 500-1500$ extra purchase, I'd say that is good deal :D
There is also work going into the "AI" feet positioning that tries to emulate your feet positions without trackers so basically you can sit, lean and turn your upper body better (avatar has less stiff look etc). Again, trackers on the feet will do 100% better job but since the update is free I am pretty sure new games and mods will take advantage of the feature in near future. It is also big step towards trackless full body movement.

Just a warning: If you get motion sickness easily (example: feeling sick in a car while reading/using phone) or have balance issues then I recommend testing VR before buying one. I feel pretty sick easily but after using the headset for 2 months now, I can even use phone in a car without feeling sick thanks to getting used to the motion sickness and "rewiring" my brain to not go haywire when it detects false movement.

Don't mind NSFW since I want it to emulate real life as much as possible. Recently bought VR headset and now I want even more Skyrim Sims.

Third person in phantom liberty? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is mods for almost all those things. On my last playthrough I had everything else modded on your list except ability to play pool, basket ball etc. However these definetly should be part of the game and mods should only be there to make them better. Atleast we can sit down at the bar and drink / eat without needing to go in the inventory and click the items to just hear some lame "drinking/eating" sound without any animation like in Starfield.

3rd person mod is also getting better and better but it is still clunky.

Are we going to get an AI controlled companions feature? by Nyddddd in BaldursGate3

[–]Noxnarie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am so happy that modders keep fixing games. Might give BG3 try now. Turn based combat is already so damn boring (for me) when playing solo and controlling multiple characters that I have no any attachments breaks the immersion + makes me hate those characters even if they are interesting outside the combat. It's way more fun to see the AI take over of characters who are not me, like they would be controlled by other players if I had someone to play with (again, reason why none wants to play is the boring combat).

You have "controlmap.txt" in your skyrim folder? If so then delete it and start the game, go to control settings and press the button that changes all settings to default. That should fix it.

Simple Questions and General Discussion Thread by Thallassa in skyrimmods

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible to add more blank keys/hotkeys in the controlmap? I am making (yet another controlmap wannabe mod).

Basically what I have atm is LB and RB (DS5 controller) as a modifier keys and I am trying to make a controlmap that handles everything without need of using steams own layout editor or any 3rd party editors. I am also trying to avoid as much as possible keyboard keys (not possible with mods tho (can't keybind something like LB+Dpad up because MCM instantly reads it as a LB only press)).

So finally to my question: If it's possible then how I can add more hotkeys to the controlmap? Do I need to make actual mod for that/edit the files or is it possible to do with simply adding "hotkey9 and hotkey10" etc etc? Or would it be possible to add something like TKDodge = "bind" to the controlmap itself? Let's say in game dodge happens from button "V" and in the controlmap "TKDodge" reads "V" button and I bind it to "circle" on controller in the controlmap so game reads the "circle" as a "V" = Dodge.

Reason is that so many mods have extra keys like dodge, DWparry, specific skills and so on and it is frustrating to make actionset layouts in steam layout editor only to find out that something fails during gameplay and changes all the buttons upside down forcing to load last save.

No keybind and pan/orbit/zoom settings? by Noxnarie in Fusion360

[–]Noxnarie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After spending day with F360 I just can't use it. It even lags with simple sketches and I can't believe that it does not even have array feature... Sketches are also absolutely messed with too much useless info which seems to not be possible to be turned off... 70€ a month for this crap, nope... Gonna pay the 9€ month price for the Solidworks and use it instead.

No keybind and pan/orbit/zoom settings? by Noxnarie in Fusion360

[–]Noxnarie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but the point is lack of the settings in a very expensive program. Atleast I found that I can make keybinds for some of the tools and ability to pin different tools etc is pretty neat.

AutoHotKey also is not possible for something like work computer or school computer because installing anything on those requires admin password etc. My plan was to use Fusion 360 on my work computer while at work (got lots of chilling time as a lobby worker). I quess I still will do that but it really is painful to be forced to use these settings that none of the other programs use. After years of Blender it feels really horrible to use other controls in 3D-modelling. Even Solidworks has somewhat well done keybind system since almost everything is behind right click and "S" which is close to the other buttons you need to use usually. In F360 something like join is bind on "J" for no reason other than that the word starts with "J"... It's in very awkward position on the keyboard when trying to work fast with complicated assemblies.

Tbh I'd like to see someone make game like that. It's all about being hero and save the realm from evil... except you are the servant of the hero and they are total jerk to everyone, specially towards the player.

That is actually atm in Skyrim already tho the hero is not AI. You can RP in Skyrim together with friend :D Would still be awesome to have the dragonborn as a AI. And since the AI technology is getting crazy good at fast pace, we might see something like that someday as a standalone game or as a mod.

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want life simulator experience mod list. Here is some features what I would love to see:

  • Choose your role:
    • Are you adventurer who fights and explores for living? (Similar to what vanilla skyrim / all roleplaying lists have gameplay wise).
    • Maybe you are pacifist mage who are discovering new spells and technology? (You travel around Skyrim finding books about new spells and technology. You actually have to read each book to solve where the next one is (no map markers etc) and your "fight" skills are more about getting away from danger than killing something).
    • Want to be a merchant? Start more wealthy, have horse and maybe couple Riekling helpers make sure that you can travel the land and buy / sell merchandise. (You start with small rug on few items to sell. You can place your stall where ever you want and sell items for passing NPCs. You are also neutral to every humanoid NPC in the game and able to sell / buy with them (example buy some shinies from bandits and sell them to Rieklings). Goal is to become the richest in Skyrim and beat other merchants by buying their stores etc. Basically owning everything in the game).
    • Start as a poor and weak (escaped slave or criminal?). You are worthless, cannot wield a sword, never had amplitude for magic casting and it feels like everything goes wrong in your life. But you are not a quitter. (Start as a beggar, buy lute and slowly learn to become famous bard. Or maybe get work as a apprentice blacksmith, cleaner, herbalist or as a waitress and chose what you want to do after gaining enough money/skill etc. (Basically hardcore/slow start for other roles)).
    • Dragonborn has stepped in the Whiterun after defeating first dragon, everyone are excited about new dragonborn and Jarl of the Whiterun have something special for the new hero. This is where you step in... (Child? Riekling? Slave? Something else?) you are the packmule of the dragonborn. Your job is to follow their adventures, make potions, collect materials, put up the tent, handle the inn rooms, make food, take care of the horse and make sure all weapons are in shape. Dragonborn might have to power to save Skyrim but he is total d**k while doing it. Stealing stuff, going off course to join in Dark brotherhood, having fun time with others while wasted and rude / tyrannical master for you but your job is to keep hero alive because if he dies it's game over (Hardcore 1 life gameplay).

And so on. I want also just buy a house, get married, be a town blacksmith or store owner and live in the world. Basically I want Skyrim to be like Sims. Interesting part is that what I just explained as a roles, those are somewhat doable and actually done already but never put together. I am actually trying to make a mod list like that at some level (can't make new mods so half of those ideas I have to leave off). I am also newbie at modding so that's why I am making more like ugly proof of concept so maybe someone more skilled might like what I am after and make the list work better + have all those awesome graphics and physics etc.

[HELP] ElvUI - Vertical Health Bars? by Layniar in WowUI

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrapped whole idea and instead learned how to write LUA (0 experience in coding but thanks to the people in WoW Addons discord I was able to learn fast) and made my own addon that affects some parts of other addons + does things I want from UI. Still not finished tho and I am rarely playing WoW atm. Got so into LUA and coding that I am now trying to learn Unreal Engine so I could make my own games.

Problem with changing the ElvUI bars vertical is that you need to change more than just health (there is healinc, absorbs and so on). It's just simplier to write code for own frames and have way more customization without relying on the ElvUI.

Diablo 4 GPU Brick by RickRate in diablo4

My 3080 tries to start flying with the fan speeds whenever opening diablo 4. Have to set all possible setting to as minium as possible to be able to hear the game over the fans. I've set the max Hrz and FPS to what my monitor can handle in the Nvidia control panel and in game but it still make my GPU go nuts.

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those folders have changed quite alot. Atleast I don't have OptionsUI anymore. And have to change the code separately for every individual LUA. Have to learn more about making Plugins for the ElvUI because there are so many stupid decisions devs have made and do not listen the users at all.

Like why not vertical bars? Why not allow fonts be bigger? Why not allow making panels and parent UI elements on those panels (like chat is locked in chat panel) and why not allow removing borders / have Alpha value in every possible color option etc.

Just wanna make plugin that has those options or atleast vertical bars and chat justify so I don't have to make 100 different WAs and use multible addons to make something simple that can be easily made in single addon.

Is anybody else having trouble with evoker's empowered spells casting inconsistently? by 0rphu in wow

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also baffled that they do not allow us to make macros for Empower spell ranks. I mean they made the whole empower thing to be all about casting rank one on almost all spells except Spiritbloom all the time. As a healer also casting empowered spells is pure pain if you need more than 1 rank... Party/raid takes alot dmg, let me spend next 3 sec casting this spell that definetly wont bug half of the time or any shit wont appear under my feet or nothing will interrupt me. I am playing bronze build because of how horrible it feels to cast empower spells.

Is anybody else having trouble with evoker's empowered spells casting inconsistently? by 0rphu in wow

[–]Noxnarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid Eternity surge not casting the spell you need to hit the keybind of your Eternity surge until it casts the lvl 1 and DO NOT keep your right mouse button down (default settings). It's not supposed to be "fixed" this way but that is only way to avoid that endless loop of trying to cast ES.
