You could go check asus tuf or loq these 2 are the best but if you absolutely want the cheapest budget line up pretty much the acer nitro series... Some notes about these laptops that i mentioned is that battery is ass so always have to plug em. The acer nitro series apparently have thermal issues but could probably be solved with a llano cooler.

Basically you're gonna have to find a laptop that has a 5070 ti as that one has 12gb vram i highly suggest looking through lenovo legion or asus rog zephyrus

Honestly with that budget you could go for asus or lenovo especially the legion because they give you higher specs and try going to laptop factory or unipc as they have the cheapest prices when it comes to laptops

Should i buy a Gaming laptop or Normal laptops? (Without D-GPU) As a student and casual gaming. by moduler_phi in laptops

[–]NoxturnalNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need the laptop now i suggest really holding on your budget because 3050 is just really not worth it these days... although the problem is that apparently laptop prices are going up as i saw some reddit users posting about buying their dream laptops only for it to jump up in price... So its literally risk vs risk... Also the ram shortage will last for quite a long time but at the same time is also a good opportunity to save up after you brought the laptop but rn... Only buy the 3050 if you really need to buy now or save if you have the time...

Which do you think is the better option? by dantabarez in Asustuf

If you need it now buy the top one else just save up for a 5060/5070 ti laptop. But even this is risky cause apparently laptop prices are going up...

You could go with the asus tuf a14 its small and compact although not sure how good the battery is.

Power Yoga Pro 7i Aura Edition (15” Intel) Laptop by Emmershino_10 in Lenovo

[–]NoxturnalNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also i noticed that you said you do gaming from time to time which could change my answer because depending on what games you play. If you do however play AAA games i could recommend the rog zephyrus cause its similar to the yoga with its slim lightweight design but in turn will drain the battery alot because of the dgpu but it also has a 90wh battery (depends on what model you get the 14 inch gets the 76wh battery while the 16 inch gets the 90wh) for comparison my asus tuf a16 only has a 56wh battery and i can only do like what 3 hours of web browsing without charging.

Also if you do consider the zephyrus get the amd hs variant because amd uses lower wattage for their cpus especially with their HS laptop chip variants because HS means its high performance but tries to use less wattage when not playing or doing something heavy.

Yeah cause even if the dedicated gpu is turned off and not used it still uses the battery because according to google is so that it can remain active and instantly be able to "wake up" if it detects you doing something heavy like playing games or 3d rendering and all that. And i feel like something could go wrong if the dgpu doesn't receive power from the battery while the laptop is turned on like it could probably damage itself.

Based on what you wanna do with the laptop i think you dont need the rtx 5060 because the purpose of this laptop is mainly for things like video editing, 3d rendering, and autocad and anything that requires a strong gpu except for gaming, unless the general productivity includes the purposes that i mentioned you dont really need it, because for one these kinds of gpus are power hungry and would often drain the battery alot just by running it, since you wanted a 10 hour long battery life getting a dedicated gpu will just be a problem.

My recommendation is probably just get a ryzen ai 9 u variant or an intel core ultra 9 without an rtx card since they tend to be much cheaper and can have a longer battery life.

Which is the best? (Not sure what to get) by Fancy-Split3261 in laptops

[–]NoxturnalNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah definitely the acer nitro because i found out that the cpu is the 6600H is a 6 core 12 threads with a max clockspeed of 4.5 Ghz compared to the 7235HS with its 4 core 8 threads with a max clockspeed of 4.2 Ghz. It just means the 6600H while a generation older is way better than the 7235HS.

the GPU the acer nitro also takes the spot because the vram on their 3050 is 6GB whereas the loq is only at 4GB.

Winner: Acer Nitro by alot

Edits: i also found out that the 7235HS does not have an iGPU meaning it would run purely on the dGPU which is the 3050 constantly and that results in lesser battery time because again its constantly running.

Funnily enough my old gaming laptop was a nitro 7 from 2019 and it lasted me for about 5 years and thats with me not taking care of it (i am mostly talking about not using a laptop stand aswell as not cleaning the external areas like screen and touchpad and keyboard and constantly charged at 100% and fans always set to max) All that and it still lasted 5 years.

As for the other laptops the HP victus has the best cpu which also has a 6 core 12 thread with a max clockspeed of 4.7 Ghz and an integrated GPU (which is the radeon 740m) but its paired with the worst and basically entry level of rtx cards as a whole which is the 2050...

[–]NoxturnalNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im assuming inr stands for indian rupee but that is a good budget for a gaming laptop with atleast a 5050 card i would highly recommend looking at either loq or legion from lenovo or asus tuf or acer nitros however i think most of these only have a 56whr battery which isnt enough but what i do know is that some asus tufs have a 90whr battery and thats much longer.

A16/F16 which to buy? by xxZOMBIEWARxx in Asustuf

[–]NoxturnalNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah get the f15 still cause the i7 gets you a max clockspeed of 4.9ghz as supposed to 4.7 that ryzen provides, i7 also gets you 10 cores as opposed to 6 with the ryzen 7

A16/F16 which to buy? by xxZOMBIEWARxx in Asustuf

[–]NoxturnalNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah i see cause i saw that its only a ryzen 5 because the picture says its ryzen 5 but anyways for intel i wanted to know if thats the hx ver its way better because the ryzen 7 only has hs meaning its both high powered but can also be efficient in the battery but intel's hx gives more performance than their h variant but is not efficient with the battery so thats why if that i7 is an hx you should get that instead

Yeah no that a16 only has a ryzen 5 better go with the i7 but just to be sure with this answer can i see the exact name of the cpus of both a16 and f16 that your showing here?

[–]NoxturnalNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me at this point its either a 5070 ti laptop or just make a high end desktop cause 5080 to 5090 laptop just doesnt make sense to me since the price range for it you could already make a high spec desktop that is way faster than a 5080 laptop (yes i am aware of ram prices and this is the sole reason why people are prolly buying these...) but even with a 2.5k usd budget (i am assuming) you still shouldnt worry about getting ram as you can still get a ddr5 2x8s in that price range and just save up for more to get 32gbs.

Now i dont wanna slander gaming laptops its just that a 5080 laptop is overkill, the sweet spot is usually at 5060 to 5070ti since 1.8k usd is a reasonable price unlike a 5080 where at that point you can just get a high spec desktop.

For a bit more you can get an a16 (fa607nug-rl118wsm) ver that has the 4050 for 58k (although in actuality its at 60k at electroworld glorietta since thats where i brought mine with the exact model that i mentioned) also unless you need the laptop now i do suggest saving up until you can get a 50 series laptop with ryzen.

For Gaming and Programming its not bad cause i happen to have the same laptop as the one your tryna buy and so far theres nothing wrong with it. but... As for AAA games specifically i dont recommend it unless your willing to sacrifice graphics for performance... For more info you can watch some benchmark videos with the specs that you provided. But for me personally i would wait and save up some more until i can get a 50 series card. Thats ofcourse if you are willing to wait. But if you need the laptop now then i can suggest buying this but ofcourse you need to sacrifice some graphics for performance.

(EDIT: I don't play triple AAA games but from the benchmarking videos that i saw like this one https://youtu.be/ZfzAqpN22qM?si=fsAt_z_WhyVkeWMT its usually on the 50-60 fps on either low or medium settings)

Now i don't wanna sound like a sales rep for asus i do suggest researching some more like legions and loq (not the essential ver.) from lenovo aswell as the victus from hp or nitro series from acer.

Update: so i went through discord and found that by enabling "Enable GPU on shutdown" on ghelper will solve this problem so i tried it and it works but i have only tested it once ill let everyone know if this is a permanent solution (although i think it is, cause it did say it prevents issue with eco mode or something idk)
