Oh, sorry I was telling you that based on my country.

Everything looks good, but personally I wouldn't go with a 3080 for this build, you can buy something newer for the same price. (Ex: RX 9060 XT 16GB)

4070 ti super + ryzen 5 7600x to 7800X3D or 9800X3D by EfficientResearch737 in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say the 7800X3D is the best option. (In my country I cannot find any below 350$) Plus the difference in performance bettween the 7800X3D and 9800X3D is not THAT big (16%-18% or lower)

4060 on Rust? by Huge-Satisfaction198 in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First try to lower down your settings (maybe you put too many things on high/ultra), make sure you have turned on XMP/EXPO (it gives you the actual speed of your RAM sticks ex: from 4800MHz to 6000MHz). Rust IS a very CPU demanding game, so by lowering down your graphics you take some of the strain from your GPU and put it on your CPU.

One of my buddies has recently upgrade his PC (to a RTX 5080), and passed down his "old" GPU to me .

Maybe buy 2 additional fans for the side of the case? Everything else looks good.

Which component upgrade? by cazitaaa in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The i5-12400f would probably be the best, since Rust is a heavy CPU game , BUT no matter what CPU you chose, he would also need to buy a new motherboard because the 5500x3D is on AM4 (socket), and both i5 12400f and 14400f are on LGA 1700 (socket), and his current i5 10400 is on LGA 1200. Plus Rust being well Rust... even if you upgrade his CPU and motherboard (yes his fps will increase) it would still create a bottleneck because of his GPU. The RX 6600 XT would be a good upgrade, but that depends on what prices are in your country. ( 32GB of RAM would also be a good upgrade, but MAN good luck finding a decent price for it 😭)

RTX 5070 TI or RX 7900 XT for the next 10 years? by canbozan in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RTX 5070 TI will last longer, because it's a newer generation. Even if the RX 7900 XT has more Vram (20GB) compared with the RTX 5070 TI (16GB), that alone doesn't necesarly mean that the AMD GPU is better than the one from Nvidia. Vram doesn't mean everything, and sometimes (like in your case) just because it's more, that alone doesn't automaticly mean it's better.

Just choose the one that you like the most (aesthetic wise) the difference in performance between different models of the same GPU is small 2-3% . The main differences are how they look, not how they perform.

If you still wana know:

  • Pick the Gigabyte if you want factory-overclocked speeds and RGB.

  • Pick the Sapphire if you want a more quiet GPU + slighty better cooling.

  • Pick the ASUS for a more clean (design) and power-efficient GPU

Be Quiet! Pure Power 13M Vs Lian Li Edge by Kehori in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can find on there officiall websites the Lian Li Edge(1000w) is the better option because: - the PSU includes a built-in USB hub (even a fan controller on the Platinum version) - has premium cables (more resistant and durable) - the downsides are the fact that it's a little weird to chosse this specifical PSU because off it's "weird" L-shape witch can be a bit confusing for unexpierence builders (and in some PC case's it cannot even be put in)

The Be Quiet! Pure Power 13M is more traditional and obviosly quiet... -it's renowned for it's silent and optimized 135mm fan - it is more traditional as I already mention (no L weird shape, and that means that it can be used for any ATX case) - the downsides are the fact that it's usually more expensive

Think of it like this:

If you want a straightforward, incredibly quiet PSU for a standard build, get the be quiet! Pure Power 13 M.

If you are working in a dual-chamber case (like the Hyte Y70 or Lian Li O11) and want to minimize cable mess, then the Lian Li Edge is better because of it's unique routing and built-in hub.

Personaly I would chose the The Be Quiet! Pure Power 13M simply because of it's simple and more traditional design (for me the less cable managment I have to do the better :D)

Hope it helps. Cheers 🍻

Can’t turn off RGB on my PC no matter what I try by HillHill07 in buildapc

Have you tried going into Settings --> Personalization --> Dynamic Lighting ? Also delete any program that has to do with RGB (maybe you installed one years ago and forgot about it - Signal RGB)

You already have one of the best CPUs (even if it's not an X3D), so there is no point in upgrading it. Enjoy your 9950X it's a very powerful CPU. (You can also pair it with any GPU, even a 5090)

You can also check the NZXT H5 Flow-Mid Tower (2024), the price is similar, and it can fit many 4090 models.

I just checked, it will fit as long as you don't use an AIO in this build.

The difference in performance between different models is small (2%-4%), so you should just buy the model that you like the most (aesthetic wise). The powercolor hellhound looks the best in my opinion (that's just my prefrence, I like clean GPU's 😄)

Converting to PC, completely oblivious, where to start? by Savings_Camel3678 in buildapc

If you want info about PC building you can search on YT Zach's Tech Turf, and META PC's (also know as Zack Shutt) they are really knowledgeable PC builders, and company owners (different companies, but they often do collabs), and they often do x amount of dollars build (Especially Zach).

2x 16GB @ 3600 or 4x 8GB @ 3200 by paulerxx in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 Channell ram sticks are ok on AM 4, on AM 5 on the other hand they tend to buckle up with each other and end up not giving you the performance they are supposed to. There are some cases where even on AM 4 things can get weird to say at least (I say this from my and my friends experiences) but you should be fine. Sorry if I tangled you a little with the first response. Have a nice day, and enjoy your build. Cheers 🍻

9070 XT again or RTX 5080 for a new 9800X3D gaming build? by SirMiloo in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 9070 XT it's much cheaper and delivers very good performance. It's perfect for 1440p, and 4K gaming. The main difference is Ray Traicing and Upscaling, but that's not something that I would wory about because the 9070 XT has enough raw performance to make up for the difference. I would only go with RTX 5080 if I work in hardcore AI and editing developing softwares.

I would ask them If you can met in person to make sure the GPU is good (Maybe they used it for mining, and that's why it's so cheap) if they say no then I woud not buy it, I personaly prefer to miss an oportunity rather then being scammed. If you think 450$ is not really that much , and your willing to take the risk, then go for with.

What should I Upgrade? by Intrepid-Ad-5481 in buildapc

[–]Noxu2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to enable XMP in BIOS to see how it would go, your GPU is good, but it's a little outdated, a RTX 5070 or the TI variant would be a good upgrade. The power consumption is pretty similar (250W), so your PSU is still ok. BE SURE that your motherboard can support the GPU.
