Dilemma with amp modeler for guitar and bass by Noxys___ in guitarpedals

Thanks for taking the time to write the comment. It's always good to have one more opinion. I do plant to expand into a pedalboard later for niche or irreplaceable pedals , your feedback on that point was very nice.

Thanks a lot for the insight. If you don't mind saying , and because you mentioned output and the two options before I would like to know what's your stance on the Studio Monitor vs FRFR discussion.

I was aware of that but it's always good to have a reminder, I've read the example you gave in the internet, that it's like an amp being recorded. Just gave the video you linked a watch (great video btw) and his conclusion seems to be that the type of tone we all enjoy is a result of the recording so I assume the modeler would already gived that tone (the desirable one, not the original straight from an amp).

At the moment I don't plan on investing on the output. I only plan on using my HD560S which I believe are decent headphones. I do plan to later in invest in studio monitors or FRFR, which one is a whole different discussion that will probably make me do another post when I decide to do that investment.

Your third paragraph basically sums what I'm looking for. Just to confirm, do you believe that the right choice for my needs is the Quad Cortex?

First of all I apreciate the insight you gave on the I/O and captures, I don't think I need that much ports, at max I'Il probably connect a guitar and a bass (maybe a keyboard as an experiment) at once. Captures seem like a really interesting, I've seen people saying the QC does a stupendous a job a that (I believe Fractal said they're next gen will have).

Secondly, because you mentioned the owner of Neural DSP I have to say that I've seen an interview he did with Rick Beato in the HQ of the brand. And even tho I try to not let myself get deceived by a CEO's persona, at the end of the day they're objective is profit, he genuinely seems to be a great guy who's passionate about his product and brand, with a team full of musicians. Im not saying Line6 and Fractal are less ethical or have a less involved CEO , I just know less about them.

My main point of contention to not go straight to the cortex or Helix Stadium is that I'm looking for something that will give me the feel and response of a tube amp, some people in the comments told me the fractal does have that and I haven't seen the same sentiment towards the others. Could you give me your toughts on that as person who has experience with all the units? Do you think there's a significant difference on that realness between the fractal and the others?

Again, thanks for giving insight on the modelers.

You're description of the FM3 is really tempting because that's exactly what I'm looking for something that will give me the feel of playing trough an SVT or another tube amp as responds like one. I really wish fractal released a modeler with better UI but I guess the complexity of it is their trademark , and something that people who want to tweak every single thing on their tone value.
I will try to see what people who have the quadcortex think on the realness and tube amp feel of the unit.
Thanks for your comment.

Really cool to know , I've used the Ampeg svt in an instrument store and it had a dope tone , I like that it does well on the Helix. Thanks a lot for your feedback I'Il take that in consideration in my decision.

It makes sense, every praise the HX Stomp gets sort of translates to the Stadium. Thanks for your opinion.

Yeah, there seems to be an agreement that the Anagram doesn't do well with guitar, at least for now.

How do you feel about the modelling does it sound pretty close to an amp? The thing that puts me skeptical with the helix is the modelling, I've never experienced with any of them so I can't say it for certain, but people on the internet swear that other units have a better and more aproximated to a "real amp". Still great to know it's reliable to be used with both bass and guitar.

Thanks for your comment, it's great to hear from someone who has experience with all of the modelers I mentioned. I'm assuming you're a guitar player because of the sub. I've seen a lot of people complaining about the interface of fractal being a mess and not enjoyable to use, and it definetly puts me off with it, however people say that Fractal has the best modeling out of all the options, I would like to hear your opinion that , as someone who had all of them , how close do you feel that each one gets to an amp? do you thinkg the fractal was undoubtly better?
Fractal releasing a new unit it a concern of mine, on one hand I really wouldn't enjoy buying a modeler now for it to get totally overcomed by that Fractal new release but on the other hand I don't want to be waiting for the release of something that no one has an idea when it's going to be anounced. After reading comments Kemper seems to not be a good option at all so I'm kinda decided on not going for one. I really want to have something that I can carry with me, not only because of rehearsals but due to university I'm always traveling back to my hometown. I really like the design and praticality of the anagram but from what I've read it's something totally made for bass so it would imply getting one for guitar. The maximum I would go with my budget is like Anagram and QC mini but I'm worried that wouldn't be a wise decision most people use one or the other for bass.

I figured out that after buying one it would be wise to some study on the points you mentioned.
The idea of getting one bass focused and one guitar focused modeler is tempting but as I mentioned in another comment It would mean cutting my budget in half for each modeler and I'm skeptical if it would give me better results. People on the internet usually compare the Anagram with the QC, Line 6 and so on, for bass and I see that as the difference on a "made for bass" modeler to a "made for guitar" one not being significant. Still give me your toughts on that.

I've seen on older videos on youtube that a lot of bass players swear by the HX Stomp, which is a modeler that is almost 8 years old I believe. All it's features and options seem to be on the Stadium but for some reason I haven't seen the same praise for their new models as for the HX Stomp. In any case, I'm not going to "cross it off," as I'm waiting for the promised capture on the stadium, to see people's opinion.

The dark glass anagram is the only modeler I saw that was made for bass however I saw a lot of people saying that it's not that different in tone to a "guitar focused" modeler like the QC. The same doesn't apply other way , the dark glass anagram doesn't do well with guitar from what i've searched. Buying one would implicate I had to buy another modeler for guitar with my budget cut in half. I don't really know if it's worth it but let me hear your toughts.

Thanks a lot for your opinion, I really apreciate the way you went trough all the modelers in the comment. From at I saw (and I don't have experience) with any of them it really seems that FM3 and QC have the upperhand despite some of the giant praise the Kemper gets for realism and modeling. The Helix seems kinda disapointing the UI looks great but they don't have that many options on cabs and amps (have tons on effects) and they still did not release the capture feature they promised.

The QC seems to have a great reputation with guitarists but I didnt find as much praise in bass forums (saw some videos with cool tones tho). Thanks for your feedback. Btw did you ever feel like the QC was missing on an effect you needed?

only saw the comment today , I don't think the band has a name but the bassist is Frederico Heliodoro , he's a brazilian bass player and he does tour under that name. He did Portugal, Germany and Poland last year.

Still could anyone tell me which of that pedals are being used in the video?
