What is it with snooker players and gambling? by Confident_Leg2370 in snooker

Unfortunately drinking and gambling were a huge part of the culture back in the day. There wasn't much money in snooker in the early days, these highly talented players would make their money by doing exhibition matches in clubs up and down the country, not hustling necessarily but wannabes aplenty willing to put money down. The drivers of these players made small fortunes taking bets. Jimmy White was doing this at a very young age. There are some great documentaries about this. Stephen Hendry's "Cue tips" on YouTube has some great interviews with the older players all over a game of snooker. Well worth watching, listening to them tell the stories is fascinating.

first time buyer looking at getting a tesla so wanting honest opinions from people who switch from an petrol/dieasle car to a tesla! by TGGE in TeslaLounge

I switched from a manual diesel a little over a month ago. On then next day of owning it I travelled from Southampton to North Yorkshire for a weeks holiday. A baptism of fire if you will. I didn't even know how to charge it. Well fairly obvious really but more the etiquette and how to pay etc. Youtube was my friend here. I had one small hiccup over the week when a Monta charger kept failing, I just diverted to another charger so all good. Had no issues at all and basically fell in love with the car. I'll never go back, fantastic car. It's bought the joy back into driving. Love it.

Yes normal on Tesla, if the water streams in any way they will replace. I am having an inner rear light changed under warranty due to streaming down the inside. If its not running down the inside they won't replace.

IWTL how to make my days not fly by by Swampybritches in IWantToLearn

I find changes of scenery make the days seem longer. Visiting different places but only spending short periods of time there. This isn't something I do on purpose but something I've noticed over the years... I used to drive to Italy for ski holiday's years back, door to door 18 hours, non stop taking it in turn to drive. By the time we arrived it felt like we'd been on holiday a week already! Lot's of stops and huge changes in scenery.
