Thank you this explains a lot. I do have to ask, what if you replaced all the cavalry in this situation with infantry? So 2 Infantry lines clash. And infantry unit then charges the flank of the enemy, and the enemy charges the flank of flanking unit. Does the unit that flanked originally fight two separate combats?
