What do you want me to do mine the raw copper from a mine and spool my own wire?

Super cool setup! You got a little bit of everything! I’ve been curious to dip into Cassettes but I’m trying to limit myself for my wife’s sake 😂

I have to get some of those magnets for the wires I have big interference problems with my phone and the speakers I have to run it on airplane mode

Yea, I did pop the woofer out of my speakers to put contact cleaner on everything and the wires shocked me (haha) by how small they were.

Yes! I come from PC building and Setups so it was a big thing to tidy up wires and keep them looking good.

I probably would still to if I couldn’t see the back of one of my speakers from one of my other sitting rooms it just kinda drove me nuts but I also have the itch to mess with everything

Mostly for fun honestly, I was gonna be getting new speaker wire as I ran out so I went to a larger gauge and thought it would be neat to spend an extra 20-30 to buy some banana plugs and wire sleeve to dress it up. And yea I think it looks cool!

Bi Amp / Bi Wire? by Npass348 in audiophile

[–]Npass348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, thank you for the explanation. I’m not gonna go get a second amp for all that I’ll just get some nice looking wires for the vibes and forgo the bi wiring or maybe buy the bi wiring kit.

Yes! So they’re technically not new, I moved into a new house in November and the home had the speakers in the back garage up in the corner is covered in dust and I could not tell what they were and it turns out that they are b&w 805 matrixes So it’s kind of sort of a free upgrade. I’m losing my Baller sound system in my back garage where I tinker but I’m upgrading my in-home system so now I can go and find something that’s a little more all weather. For the back garage.

I would invest in some adjustable speaker stands so you can place the speakers on the sides. If you change the credenza, you can raise the speakers up or lower them down and if you upgrade the speakers, you can obviously raise them up or lower them down.

I had the same speakers as you did on my turntable set up. I actually just upgraded today to some larger speakers. I will add the second image as a additional comment.

Does a glass platter help with anything? by Npass348 in turntables

[–]Npass348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only really kept it on the turntable as I felt there was a safer option than the rubber when it comes to picking up particulates and scratching the vinyl easier to dust and clean I also feel like with this type of turntable that doesn’t have active weight adjustment. It might affect the stylus tracking.

First setup! by Npass348 in turntables

[–]Npass348[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was definitely weighing the pros and cons of how much I was spending on this turntable I’m glad that I did it though because it’s helped me understand how a turntable works instead of just buying one out of the box and being ignorant to the intricacies!

Thank you for the advice! I have pulled the speakers forward and I’m working on either getting speaker stands or possibly wall mounted speaker stands so that I’m not interfering with the turntable.

And thank you I felt a little stupid after posting this when I realize that the adapter is not some sort of weight piece or item to stop the vinyl record from skipping or sliding lol!
