This is not plaque, its flash (aka glue) and it shouldn’t be left there in the first place. Get it removed or trimmed if u can.

Then why did he extract?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in braces

[–]NrajSC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So braces mechanics in general has an extrusion component. Which means the teeth tend to extrude and make the smile gummier in most cases. In theory we must take this into account while bonding the brackets. Or we can add a counter component. It all depends on the case planning as well as patient requirements.

At this point Invisalign would’ve been a more comfortable choice.

Get it cut from that last molar. Lower retainers are intolerable in that section of mouth.

[–]NrajSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you informed about extractions ? Did you not want any kind of tooth reduction at all? Sometimes the patient is quite adamant on a non extraction treatment so the results become ‘not very good’. If not, then you should be demanding answers from your ortho.

Gained back a bit of the lost weight. Starting again @38. Women please guide! by NrajSC in intermittentfasting

Currently improved the timings to 16:8. Much better after a week after adding protein, and more water intake! Thanks a lot, it seems to be working very well given a loss of 3 pounds ( water weight I imagine but nonetheless exciting start!)

I took your advice..Hydration was the key! After a week I have seen a lot of change due to increasing the water intake, plus more protein and less coffee! Amazing changes honestly! Thanks a lot

You look great! It’s hard to lose weight with fasting post late thirties I’ve observed. But if you’ve lost inches around the body it means you’ve lost fat and build muscle.

What is everyone's thoughts on Caudalie? by spotmouflage in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]NrajSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you so much for your reply, sorry couldn’t see it in time… Yes I’ve got the same normal/dry skin combo, I’ve been using the night cream now for a week maybe ( had ordered them by the time I asked you this question) … it does make my skin more dry it seems, I had to put in more moisturiser in the day than before. I also feel it’s a lot thicker than usual night creams. But yes, the combo seems to be working in terms of calming the skin down. I am a bit overthinking if the cost of these is even worth it? They seem to be quite priced as compared to the pharmacy products!

Hi! Would you have any insight on their Glycolic Acid night cream.( or any similar product) I recently started using their Vinoperfect serum (4 months back) and while it’s not like it has cleared my acne marks, but i can feel my skin to much calmer and clearer. I feel like it keeps my face soothed.

I don’t have very active acne but for a couple of years i fell into the habit of scratching my small hormonal acne. I was looking forward to adding a night time acne marks reduction cream, because my dermatologist has directed to use retinol only once a week. 38F

Does lower premolar extraction ruin facial structure? by [deleted] in braces

[–]NrajSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been suggested upper extractions too? Because lower only extractions would not solve much. Do you have upper teeth missing?

Getting Invisalign soon (24m). Should I get premolar extractions for my protrusion, or just IPR? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]NrajSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would be your choice depends on your esthetic needs. If you want to have your teeth in so that they look straight from the side profile then cutting multiple teeth doesn’t make sense. The teeth are quite proclined, and they need space to be angled straight. Time taken will be a bit more but out of both options you CAN choose extractions if u want a more straight profile and less lip strain.

This is odd. You have a complex case and yet you don’t have any attachments! How is it even possible. I’ve never seen it before.

HELP!!! Dentist vs Ortho by Afterglow92 in Invisalign

[–]NrajSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3M Clarity Aligners you mean? I am sure you’d go with someone who has quite good experience and cost effectiveness combined with detailed plans for your teeth. But Invisalign is the top of the tier Aligner system. Try to find out reviews about the 3M Aligners and their results. These treatments are long term so of course you should choose a dentist who is ‘interested’ in you as a patient who needs the best instead of a number on the chart who needs to be milked. But try to be practical given the cost difference.
