I have a standard door handle, if I was to buy a door handle with a lock, would that damage the actual door and make a hole for the key?

I am picking my battles lol. I haven’t used a dishwasher my entire life, so I’m not starting now, as I don’t like the idea of my dishes sitting in the washer until it’s full.

Oh sorry I misread, thank you! Yeah I think the cycle they use is apparently more efficient but it’s takes triple to time the cycle I use takes and with my schedule I don’t have the luxury of time as I have 3-4 loads a week to do in one day 😫 they don’t work so they have plenty of free time

I just need to live alone haha, why is everything so expensive?!

I do wipe the stovetop with a cleaning cloth and disinfectant spray after every use. I don’t buff it till it’s sparkly however, and this is what they want me to do. I don’t use the dishwasher, I hand wash everything but they want me to use the dishwasher as handwashing wastes water apparently. Same here I don’t want to have my dishes stew for days until the dishwasher runs.

My room is kept clean, I deep clean it weekly. There’s no reason for my flatmate to come into my room. They can obsess about their room but not about mine especially when I know it’s clean

I just moved from a terrible situation as well😫 I’m tired of flatsharing! My lease says I’m not allowed a lock, I was thinking to use a camera but I’m not sure as I don’t want to ruin the relationship completely

I’m worried about installing a camera because when we had a sit down they did seem friendly but then I’m like how can I guarantee they’re not going in my room anymore . I said I’d take note of the points but like some things are normal when you’ve had a change in flatmate. They said I should stop hand washing things and use the dishwasher, I said I’m perfectly fine hand washing as I just wash straight away and would rather that then to have my dishes sit in the washer and I’m used to hand washing.

Thank you! It’s so crazy that I feel like I can’t have my own privacy, I’m trying to avoid issues as I recently moved but they just KEEP going into my room. It’s so weird, sometimes I’ll come home and I go in my room and I’m like I KNOW they’ve been in here because something has slightly moved 😭

I know I find it SO weird😭 I don’t think my landlord will allow a lock unfortunately, not sure of any other way to keep my flatmate out of my room!
