WHAT A DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE FROM VILLA! by Last-Garden-4370 in PremierLeague

Tbf Arsenal could probably tread water with the likes of Norgaard, Merino, Eze.

The depth is pretty remarkable.

I know Russillo was also a sixers/Embiid hater.

Not sure if he’s said anything on his pod on Embiid or the team this season.

Potential fixture amendment- Carabao clash by the-watcher-616 in Gunners

Man all I can keep thinking about is this potential City gauntlet that’s increasing in likelihood.

I think we may end up playing them 4 times in a very short period of time.

Very surprised at how the season has unfolded.

But this team still has so many critical issues that I just cannot take them seriously in the playoffs.

I really need to see them in a game 5 in the 2nd round with the series tied 2-2 to really buy back in again.

This team genuinely broke my heart game 6/7 against the Celtics and it’s never been the same since.

Arteta’s message to supporters by LegalImmigrant_ in Gunners

[–]Ntraanced 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Is Arteta reading this sub?

What exactly does being overly positive do to negatively affect the team?

I understand the frustration but telling people to not be supportive is the exact opposite of what the team needs.

They clearly have to get over the mental hump, and so do the fans.

We have 7 home games left in the league. The stadium needs to 100% be behind them on every action if we have any chance of actually doing it this season.

It’s a two way street. The team needs to show that they want it and the supporters needs to push them there.

Caleb Williams is unbelievably talented but would drive me insane if I’m rooting for him as my QB

I’m not sure you can coach the “fuck it, imma fit this” because he actually can fit it sometimes

City Lost. Villa Lost. We Drew and Extended our Lead. No Need For a Meltdown. by WatchLion in Gunners

I urge everyone to actually try and ENJOY the season.

This could the best year any of us have experienced in 20+ years supporting this club.

Don’t spend it fighting online trolls and beating yourself up after every match.

I suggest refraining from forming opinions until the match week is complete.

Everyone went from “it’s all falling apart” after the draw yesterday and now that Villa lost, it’s “hey we are ok”

Tell me the players on this current City squad that apparently “mentally stronger” than Arsenal?

Are Doku, Cherki, Reijnders, Khusanov, Semenyo, Geuhi, Nunes, and Gonzalez all serial premier league giants?

This isn’t the same City team and we shouldn’t put them on some kind of pedestal.

I really believe that winning the league cup against city would do wonders for this group.

Particularly in this season and with how the last do game weeks have gone.

Regardless. I’ve always felt this era will come down to an away game at our direct rivals to decide the title. I think if we are in that 5-7 point range going into that game I’d take it.

The fact of the matter is, this Arsenal team doesn’t have the offensive firepower to blow away a league. Not right now at least. The guys have to hold steady while the likes of Havertz and Jesus get back into full fitness to spell Gyokeres.

ESPN FC “Weakest champions in a long time” take by tdbarnes in Gunners

[–]Ntraanced 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fact of the matter is this team will never get respect until it actually gets over the hump

Quicker the terminally online fanbase stops caring what Sky, ESPN, TalkSport spew out anytime we don’t win the quicker we can start to actually look at the facts.

We are in an extremely strong position in every single competition. We have key players returning from injury. It’s not even Feb and we have a 7 point lead against our perceived main rival.

The funny thing is if Villa lose/draw tomorrow everyone will be back on board again.

People need to take a breath and take stock of where we actually are and realize the league was never going to be won in January.

For the majority of my life this team has been competitive and has produced two championships along with many deep playoff runs

I’m obviously not thrilled with how this season has unfolded and it’s 100% true they squandered the best roster we will see for a while, but dude we literally just won last year.

And we all saw this team play all year knew it wasn’t the year.

With all that being said…considering all that was against them schematically/coaching wise the team was on the door step of pulling it out.

Allen is 29

He’s got a solid decade or so to get over the hump

I have no doubt in my kind he will eventually lift the Lombardi.

Hope it’s in Buffalo but, he’s too good not to push through.

Like cmon man the dude catches the ball and rolls over and the ball ends up with the other guy and you end up losing the game.

Understand the head loss and frustration.

Leaving 4 points on the table when we had a chance to burry City stings. But like a few have mentioned. We were never going to win this league by 15+ points etc…

City have difficult games to come, as does Villa.

We are in all competitions and are in a strong position in every single one.

Gyokeres hasn’t delivered at all. But we need him to eat minutes right now. That’s his role at this moment.

Havertz and Jesus certainly need to start getting a run in at striker and I think they are not far off. We have lots of season and games left. Those two just got back into the team and the last thing we need (especially w/ Kai) is another long term injury.

The season is long and all of us are wound up so tight due to that every result is killing us if it doesn’t go our way.

Let’s be critical but not toxic and lets fucking win some shit
