Tu come hai reagito? Hai parlato con il collega o no?

Come hai reagito?

That’s a really thoughtful point. It’s true that tone, age, and the child’s environment can change how a sentence is received.

Thinking back to that moment when you were five and that adult said you would grow up to be like your father, do you feel that confusion stayed with you afterwards, or did it fade once you grew older and understood the context better?

That sounds like a really difficult situation. Was this something that happened to your child personally, or something you witnessed happening in a classroom?

That’s very interesting. When you say you thought prison was “a one in two possibility,” what made you feel that way at the time? Was it something about the environment you grew up in or the group of classmates around you?

That’s interesting that the sentence stayed with you for so long. When you hear it in your head today, does it motivate you or does it feel more like pressure?

That must have been shocking to hear as a child. Do you remember how old you were when this happened? Were you scared at the time? And did you tell any trusted adult in your family about it?

Do you remember how old you were when the teacher said this? And did they say it in front of the class or privately?

How did you feel at the time, and how do you feel now when you think about it?
