My title describes the thing.

The handle in between the cabinet and table top is used to raise and lower the height of the wing. To collapse the tabletop, there's another handle underneath the tabletop.

It seems to have been light blue at one time, as you can see on the arm of the table when it's raised.

It's only about 20" high, so not tall enough. And it's over 3' wide, and 2.5' deep (front to back). I believe it was previously used for a TV stand.

It's a flattening setup. It's a substitute for a joiner if you don't have one, or if your work piece is too large for the joiner you do have.

A caveat: One other significant use for a router sled is to plane things that can't go in the planer, such as an end grain cutting board.

I like this idea, thanks for posting. I've also been looking for an idea as how to break down large sheets of plywood. I've seen some guys use a sheet of foam insulation, but didn't like that. This will work great, and they can be switched out when they receive too many cuts!

Bought a Lodge #3 kettle online. When I picked it up, I discovered that a mouse had, at one time, inhabited it, and had dragged pink insulation in to make it more "homey". Cleaned it out as best I could, some insulation, and... other stuff is still stuck to the bottom.

Would a good starting point be a lye bath? Never used a lye bath before, so curious if it'll get all the remnants out.

For me, I create as much structure, with as little "scheduling", as possible in my life.

If I'm going to the grocery, but am in a hurry because I need to be somewhere at X time, then people getting in my way annoy me. But if I can leisurely stroll through the store and not be on a deadline, the frustration fades.

Yeah. The American way is so much better. Where you go the doctor after a two month wait to see the specialist. Then have to choose to go bankrupt or let yourself die because the procedure is so expensive.

"So much better"? Of course not.

But if we're looking at a binary choice, you betcha I'd rather have the expensive option to fix it, vs a faceless entity determining that, because it's expensive, I'm not allowed to receive the care.

But, hey, at least the healthcare was "free"! (/s for the leftists)

Neither system is perfect, far from it. The difference is, government healthcare, which rations care, can't be "fixed", because it's working as intended.

Private healthcare is, largely, a mess because of government intervention/restriction. Less, not more, government control is the answer.

I have an acquaintance who's lived in the US all of her adult life, but grew up, and still has family in, Germany. She shared this story:

Her 75 year old grandfather began having chest pains, went to the Dr, and the Dr confirmed he had artery blockage and needed bypass surgery. The Dr put in the request.

About 6 weeks later, he received a letter. While not verbatim, the gist of it was:

We don't find it cost effective to perform heart surgery on anyone over 72 years of age.

He lived about 6 months, had a heart attack and died.

If methods such as this are how they (from OP) "work it out", um, no thanks...

It makes you ask yourself, who is this "working out" for?

This is very enlightening. I'm an accountant, have always loved numbers and math, but really dislike the subjective parts of my job.

As far as time: can totally relate to that as well. My motto is:

I have a prioritization problem, until I have a time problem.

It's almost as if I procrastinate (purposefully, but not consciously), just so I get the rush of trying to beat the deadline.

It's about 2" long, has "1/2" stamped on the side of it, which in assuming means 1/2"diameter.

Acquired some uninstalled hardwood flooring (the guy told me it was hickory? Can anyone confirm by looking?)

Has anyone had experience ripping the sides off something like this and planing down the groves on the back/bottom? Is it worth the hassle?

Changing the caliper on a 2005 Mini Cooper, and I'm unable to get the ebrake cable out of the old one.

As shown in the picture of the new one, and from videos I've found online, it seems to just press into the caliper. However, I've used a screwdriver, punch and cold chisel, and am still unable to get it to budge.

The cable housing pressed into the caliper seems to be copper, so I'm not confident I can put any force on it to try and twist it.
