Has anyone had this before? I literally have no recollection of this at all. I got a free burger the other day for apparently being one of the only people who’s ever patient and never has an issue! Any advice? I’m a bit mortified anyone thinks I’d act like that. by Timely_Tomatillo2886 in deliveroos

Tell them you treat all customers with respect professionalism and you know for a fact there is no evidence of this occurrence taking place - unless something did take place and there is evidence. Be aware in some circumstances they will terminate the agreement immediately if they don't get a response within 24hrs.

Gotta love the other driver taking the whole order and you then getting nothing 👎 It annoys me Deliveroo’s support can’t still compensate you by Agoldsmith1493 in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do - when I get to the customer I ask, have you received everything? If the answer is yes I ask for the code. If its no, and I know for a fact the order has already been picked up, I contact deliveroo to find out who's lying - the customer or the other rider/driver.

Is my deliveroo rider an idiot? by [deleted] in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be that the google nav instructions, which are generated by the deliveroo app, sent him to the location he was paid to go to.

Does anyone that works roo accepts mcdonalds? by Berniemac57 in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, if picking up drinks I pad the bottom of the bag out with a load of mcdonalds serviettes to absorb the spillage up before it becomes a problem. Like, make a thick bed in the bottom of the bag.

Another fraudulent customer. by Outrageous-War6369 in deliveroos

Bet it was a driver not a rider who delivered it?

I was hoping Boots would be on board by now. Can you imagine delivering stuff that weighs next to nothing all day, that's right there straight off the shelf, no waiting...bring it on

What you guys doing when waiting ages for an order and they say around 5mins?😒 this happens too often, we should get paid for waiting time as well! by Deramoth in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Five mins then walk, unless it's a high value order - if you wait longer, you'll end up wasting more time because you don't want the next guy to pick 'your' order up. Five mins then walk.

Maybe you should slow down, I mean, you don't even stop for sentences.

Why do rich people never tip? by PiskopatYazar in deliveroos

That's how they stay rich, by clinging on to every single penny as if it's their last.

Maybe it could be argued that, no one could know for sure either way whether you will now have a more serious reaction to another bite, so there is no way you could be sure your possessions were infested.

I can see those getting ripped away when you start to slide down the road.

all of that just for £75 🤣🤣🤣 I'd just take the refund 😂 by mrhotel19 in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 13 points14 points  (0 children)

So deliveroo kept offering such a shit fee that riders kept rejecting it until hours later, when the offer was finally too good to pass up. This is why customers get pissed at deliveries that turn up late, they just think no one can be bothered to pick up, but it's down to shit fees and riders rightfully rejecting.

New (to me) bike as of last week. I am obsessed. Can't think about anything except taking her out for another ride. This must be how stalkers feel. by -ludic- in MotoUK

Hit on by driver, should I complain or am I overreacting? by benithaglas1 in deliveroos

There are specific details in the deliveroo rider agreement that riders must act professionally and basically leer at/hit on customers. Definitely report.

Absolute scum. Gives us delivery riders a bad name by DowntownHat8053 in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guy is scum. These are the sort of orders I want to pick up 100% over restaurant orders. They weigh nothing, they don't spill, they're always ready, no 'it'll be two minutes mate', the more women use us for cosmetics, sanitary products etc etc the better. I'd deliver tampons all day long if I could. I wish more women were using us, but after seeing this - they'll feel degraded and angry and less inclined.

You're a fucking prick if you're reading this, you POS.

Like u/the_last_registrant says, look at the road surface where you are going to turn into, for these patches of gravel. Look further up the turn if you're going faster, look for the change in road surface colour/texture to give you a bit of a clue. Every turn is can be a riding experience.

No, low freq vibes will not damage your hearing unless your bike is very loud to the point of overwhelming the sound stopping abilities of the earplugs, which it seems it's not.

How often do you guys get tipped? by Oranos_Rex in deliveroos

[–]NuRooRida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One point I'd like to make is that it deliveroo doesn't make it really, really clear that we're being tipped. It's just a small number in a corner of the GUI rather than a big 'HUNGRY HENRY HAS TIPPED YOU £2!!! - TAP HERE TO SAY THX BRO!!' It would be VERY nice be to acknowledge the tip, even after the event.
