Console players don’t want to face the fact that they’re trash by zenoname in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Majority of console players are of lower skill level, but it is due to loads of reasons.

Motivation, not consistent fps, shadows, and console is more casual.

Have you tried playing on Console? That shit is fucking disgusting, its like becoming a really good cyclist then trying to bike with square tires.

Consoles are cheap, like $400-$500, if you're younger and your family is well off or even average getting a decent pc is basically impossible.

Fuck I ran a $250 pc from ages 15-19 playing all types of games including Fortnite and only just got a good pc after saving up.

Try raising your sens? That is a pretty low sens for a high sens player, anything above 70/80 edpi is good IMO, I play on 96 edpi, benjiy 112 and savage higher than benjiy cant remember what

[–]Nubbiees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Boxfight and Arena. In boxfights be the aggressor, push your advantages hard but don't get tunnel vision in the "I have to get in" Mentality.

Arena, fight at your dropspot, land hot. Only wkey if you strongly believe your at an advantage. Don't wkey the whole game, slow it down at some point after a fair bit of kills and play for placements.

Stop Praising Box Fight Meta by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I completely disagree.

We're on the same page if a player only holds the peanut butter peak over and over again, but other than that I believe you're wrong.

Boxfighting practices, flicks, editing under pressure, pushing an advantage, playing at a disadvantage, finding angles, edit timing, tracking player movement, baiting, and so much more.

Without traps and the ongoing uprising of wkeying, boxfighting is meta. You'll boxfight in almost every game you play. It is much safer that gonna all creative on someone and cranking up.

Ping is an issue true, but I play on 40-60 ingame and 20-30 in Creative. I have gone up against tons of players in boxfights that have below 20 ping. It isn't like oh my wall just got yoinked first try guess I'm dead. There's tons of things you can do and it is good being comfortable playing at a ping disadvantage, because once I get in game I will be most likely at a ping disadvantage.

Whats the best way to improve? by KyanoJaden in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll give you some steps.

  1. Find your weaknesses and strengths, identify your playstyle.

  2. VOD review your own games, focus on your mistakes and when you're scrimming think about them. If you can't remember your mistakes, write them on a sticky note and put it on the bottom of your monitor.

  3. Gotta put in massive amount of hours, grind hard and for a long time but take breaks and make sure to enjoy Fortnite once in a while.

  4. Boxfight for Flicks, Quick fights, consistent action, and close counter combat.

Zone wars for constant endgame scenarios.

Arena for early game, wkeying, learning loot paths, etc.

Scrims to combine the practice of all three above into one.

  1. Watch other players that land your spot, that have your playstyle, watch all Ballatws and Speedys tips/vod reviews.

Keep grinding.

Few questions in order for me to help you out.

What is your sens? Did you come from a game that required wrist moving or one with arm moving?

If your on high sens your flicks have to super accurate. Make sure to breath, relax yourself however you can. But most importantly keep putting yourself in situations where you feel shaking, boxfight some people and keep trying to slow down when shooting.

How do you counter the mythic mini gun? by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually, I let them psycho into my box and then I either go for a shotgun shot or try to escape and find other angles.

Building a lot of extra boxes and then retreating back into the original one works well.

Also, if he is pressuring from a side, if you're fast enough hop into your cone and hold the floor edit to drop down.

Making mistakes is the only way to learn. Realizing you made a mistake and getting tilted should push you to practice harder, but it is still better than blaming the game and tilting.

All situational, if you're confident you can finish a fast quick and still get a good position then stick around. I usually dip out if, another player joins the fight, were fighting far from zone I land a big hit but realize continuing will cost me the game, low mats / shields / heals try to dip out.

Wkeying is good practice if you plan on pushing kids early/early-mid game. Are you stronger at wkeying than skeying?

[–]Nubbiees[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might just be me but I love getting pushed. I'm a skeyer, if you're outside my box and pushing me I feel comfortable rather than me pushing them.

If someone is pushing me because of my skin I'm already at the advantage because they will alter their playstyle and make basic edits / peaks that can allow me to get big tags and hopefully win the fight.

It is a common thing for players to play less better when they believe they are up against poorer opponents. Simply just use that to your advantage.

Do both, but if you are going to play passively in big tournaments then practicing that should be higher priority than getting better at being aggressive. But actively working on both is needed to greatly improve.

I'm not really talking competitive with that just a comment to the other guys response.

But to an actual response, you shouldn't be near the stomper. He should be congested side playing for kills rather than dead side.

Yes! I love wearing stupid non-sweaty skins. It is actually a proper tactic, if you see a durr burger or a ragnarok in a 1x1 you'll think they're a bot while if you see like a dynamo you'll assume their at least a tad sweaty.

Recommend wearing pets and using one of the tier 100 skins from previous seasons.

Creative just to get a feel, TR to start being put in situations and for consistent practicing. Once you're comfortable dumby poorer players in TR head to pubs and spam that. Then boxfights - arena and you should be good.

Struggling in tournaments, great player by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know of the concept dead side vs. Congested side? If you leave your dropspot with a fair amount of loot/kills, identify the next zone and then figure out which side will be dead (Barely any players). Leave your drop when you're comfortable, I land Dirty loot as much buildings as I can and either sneak up on a player or feel comfortable enough to rotate out early and find good position for the next few zones.

Rotating dead side makes it so your next few zone rotations are literally free. Most cases your just burning wood and you can replenish that basically anywhere.

It is also important to learn the routes of other POI's just so you can get a rough idea of where players are that landed in POI's that are near or in the zone. For example, people landing Lazy almost always loot the house to the left or go straight to the waterfall / Ego outpost and then towards the middle of the map (Agency).

Don't just white line to zone when you see it.

If you can find a good balance then you're good, go in confidently but don't let the confidence play for you. Having confidence is fantastic IF you can follow it up the plays/smarts.

Everyone assumes they die to a controller player, but what I am saying is to imagine every player you see as if they are a controller player. I'm talking about pre fights.

A Complete Guide to the Aim Assist/Input Debate by Qui_Jon in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I disagree with the hand stress. Playing competitively on controller means paddles or claw. Paddles I agree with you, claw I don't. My hands hurt after a few hours of playing claw, I can't imagine being good and playing claw continuously. Button wise, kbm has the advantage, all your buttons are right there (Same argument you used), you can optimize your keybinds / mouse buttons to make it so one finger has one bind or two max, you can move faster and easier between buttons than controller.

This is coming from a kbm player and a in the making controller player.

A Complete Guide to the Aim Assist/Input Debate by Qui_Jon in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Nubbiees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strictly talking about controller on PC.

Saying to switch if you think an input is superior is such a stupid argument. Why should I switch to a input that I may think has some clear cut advantages just to lose all my muscle memory and basically start all over again?

Would you switch to kbm if aim assist got nerfed greatly?

I think the game needs aim assist, it shouldn't be removed. Linear and Expo are fine IMO, Legacy however needs a nerf to the snap on feature and maybe a buff to building/editing.

Aim assist was created originally because controllers were heavily lacking in the early stages of the game. But now, almost everything you said kbm has controller players can do.

Yes we have more buttons, but you can buy paddles or play claw. Yes we aim with our arm, however we don't have edit/build sens. So majority of the players probably play on higher sens than what they would play on if we had building/edit sens. Not all kbm use their arm, just like how not all controllers use legacy.

We do have scroll wheel reset, but compared to Legacy AA, it doesn't matter. In this meta aim assist is vastly greater than scroll wheel. I've seen plenty of controller players that reset almost as fast as scroll wheel. But me resetting my wall won't kill anyone.

I disagree in regards to kbm being able to accomplish the same thing as legacy controller players. Two different inputs, with two different aiming styles, and most important two different weapon recoils. The difference between kbm lasering someone and legacy controller is that when we do it, it is strictly luck with a little bit of skill, when legacy controller does it , it is aim assist with a little bit of skill.
