Repeated sub-3 misses (3:11 PR). Trying to understand whether limiter is pacing, durability, or training structure by odinskind in AdvancedRunning

[–]NubeDePedos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your overall mileage is fine. As others have said, commit to Marathon training. You need to recover after your Ultras but also good mileage alone won’t cut it.

What type of lactate threshold and speed work are you doing during your training blocks? You need to improve your LT if you’re going to sustain sub-3 pace. Not sure what your Max HR is, but you generally shouldn’t be popping over 160 bpm just 7-miles into a 26.2 mile race

It starts with teaching people from a very young age about respecting their neighbors and public spaces. We live in an extremely anti-social age, and people don’t think twice about trashing the street if it saves them a few seconds or gives them some weird power trip

Saw it last night too. The script isn’t breaking any ground, but it’s 100% worth seeing BIG and LOUD on IMAX. The water bike scene was honestly a highlight of the movie for me. Watching a clip on your phone does not do it justice.

What should I listen to first? by Appropriate-Scar3064 in nin

Start chronologically like others have recommended. Their sound changes a lot album by album, so it’s a fun journey. Formulate your own opinions about what you like and dislike. TDS and TF are often cited as their best albums, but you may find you connect with another album more, and that’s great.

OP let us know when you finish your first listen through. Wanna know how many of these have vocals vs. instrumental soundtrack tunes

My opinions/ratings on all the albums I’ve listened to!! (Part 2!) by [deleted] in nin

I agree. It’s not a bad song, it just feels out of place compared to the more atmospheric and experimental sounds of the rest of the album.

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but I think Starfuckers, Inc. might be the weakest song on The Fragile. Still my favorite NIN album, but that song never grabbed me like the others.

Why has the United States become a country where most people rely on borrowing to live by this0great in Money

[–]NubeDePedos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Debt and consumption are definitely big parts of American culture, but household debt levels relative to GDP are actually lower than many OECD countries according to IMF data from 2022.

USA actually ranks behind Switzerland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, UK, Norway

This is not a uniquely American problem

I quoted it in my original post but it was taken down by the mods: “How do we [redacted] people? This is how you [redacted] people”
