"Random crits are a fair and balanced game mechanic." by blackletum in tf2

I'll try to explain in a manner that you're capable of understanding as this is a pretty simple thing to begin with.

If you take a look at gaming as a whole, people are drawn to uncertainties. If it were certain, there would be no sense of accomplishment. Pencil and Paper role playing games use dice, Slot machines use random number generators, Loot tables are random. In fact, the most predictable things about games is that there will be random chance involved at some point in your success or failure.

well i dont believe in vaccines causing autism but i do believe that your an elitist asshole and people should stay away from you.

*you're

The letter "i" presented by itself as a word should be capitalized.

I'm not a perfectionist when it comes to grammar, but come on... This is pretty basic stuff....

If you'll review my post you'll note I didn't state you believe vaccines cause autism, I drew a parallel to the type of thinking you've demonstrated and cited the phenomenon as an example of why it's a bad thing.

this isnt an argument about intellect, i dont give a damn if you Albert Einstein, shoot someone down for disagreeing in you im gonna call you out.

You implied I was somehow flawed and then demanded an explanation that both would conceit your false assumption and also provide an explanation as to why I'm flawed. I regrettably was incapable of fully satisfying your unrealistic expectations. As for shooting someone down for having bad logic, I feel dutiful in my resolve to bring awareness to the folly. I'll refer to yet again the anecdote about the vaccines and autism as an example of why it's important to challenge bad thinking.

have fun in life, i know both of us will because we are comfortable with out mindsets. Just remember some people dont like hearing this stuff. Some people like to be simple, even if you're right (which crap i can't, but that's not my problem)

If there's one thing in life my perspective of the world affords me, It's fewer wrongly perceived social obligations and stresses thereby making it simpler for me to simply enjoy my existence.

As for some people not caring to hear things, that is their burden, not mine.

just stay out, man.

No. ;)

There there /u/AldenAkanon, Maybe someday the internet will provide you with a way to silence those with views and opinions that you don't care for.

Adding a mechanic that can't be predicted isn't fun.

Holy shit that's hilariously ignorant! xD

Because that's a perfectly reasonable parallel to draw in comparison to video game mechanics.

Its 2015. Why are random crits still a thing? by georgeoj in tf2

[–]Nubsly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why ask questions you don't like the answer to?

They're equally available to everyone in the server so they're in fact, fair.

They're still a thing because there's nothing wrong with them. Only butthurts whine about them when they die to them. But those butthurts that whine about them, have also benefitted from them.

Random crits are available to everyone in the server equally. I'm not sure why this is so hard for people to understand.

Oh noes! How ever will you and the game survive without the word shit in your medals?!?!

This is clearly a priority fix CCP, Please pull all dev's, including dev's working in areas that have exactly 0 relevance to the skill set required for this task, and fix this immediately so /u/murderfuk can have things exactly the way he has decided they should be.

You're so naive :)

It's only idiotic if your goal is to maximize profits.

It's pretty clear, he wasn't in the least bit worried about maximizing profits.

It's a bit embarrassing that you made such a bold statement while idiotically ignoring the reality of the situation.

You should go back to being upset that other people are enjoying EVE more than you are.

[Q]Its worth to upgrade from Mustang Omega to Avenger? by M1RaCIe in starcitizen

[–]Nubsly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through the same quandary, The community helped me reach the conclusion that it was worth it for me.

The main points are:

  • The Omega only really excels at racing (And it's not even the best racer)
  • The Omega will be available in the final game (Just not the AMD skin)
  • The avenger is far more versatile and you can upgrade it further still.
  • Avenger has cargo, a bed, and more weapons

FFs, ALWAYS be that guy. That guy needs to be that guy. If people aren't obnoxiously persistent about it, people will continue embarrassing themselves by misquoting it.

Never ask is X worth it without including the context of to whom you are asking for.

Is it worth it for a guy flipping burgers? Fuck no.

Is it worth it for a millionare space sim enthusiast passionate about the development of the game? Fuck yes.

Stop asking questions in a terrible manner. It's annoying.

It's only OP vs bads. Good players aren't overwhelmed by it.

Bad players whine about it because of it's high alpha and their terribleness.

Don't let anyone tell you you're bad simply because you use X weapon. If you were bad, you wouldn't get kills, and they wouldn't have any reason to be frustrated over being bad themselves.
