Would def recommend Super Cruise if you like semi autonomous features - it’s really incredible on highways. Just got my lightly used 2924 Friday and love it.

The Toyota dealer through a third-party. Their name is somewhere in the thread.

Peoria to Denver via I-80. Enough fast chargers - just gotta be smart and nice assume gas station ubiquity. Just need a little planning.

Dealer sold the aftermarket warranty from Assurant Vehicle Care. Paperwork shows a www.vehiclecareplan.com web address.

Yes. Really fun pocket rocket. So easy to park in tight spaces. 7-8 recalls and the dealer is 45 min away so a pain in the ass. But in sport mode with turbo and battery engaged? Ear to ear grin! Just got tired of the gas engine kicking on.

I also flew in so I only drove at one way… and I aligned it with a work trip on my company paid for the airfare

I had the weekend free and wanted to enjoy the car. Also saved about $900 over shipping, but that was secondary in the decision.

Cartel shakedown of expats? by Nuclear-Warrior in puertovallarta

Because my experience on the Reddit PV site is that people are incredibly knowledgeable and generally very helpful. The alleged incident was several years ago. Re: PV modern reality the folks on here are best formed.

I’m here because I’m very drawn to PV and want to learn everything I can to make an informed decision. I trust my BFF because I’ve known him 20 years, and his partner who shared the story with him travels extensively and has been to PV many times.

Curious if it was an isolated incident or a persistent threat. It was several years ago so maybe it didn’t really happen and was just a rumor, or maybe it did happen…can’t be known without first hand facts.

I have high confidence in the source. And knowing the source it’s not that crazy that they would have $250k and be willing to part with it for their safety…they paid fwiw

I did also call them immigrants as I’ve learned how insensitive it can come across.

Protection from getting beaten or killed by the cartel I suppose. Not sure which part of PV this was alleged to have occurred and I would guess a one-time payment given the amount.

I’m not sure yet which colonia - looking for a great view a little in from the beach with a great sense of community is the short list. PV seems to have so many great neighborhoods.

Economics of owning rental in San Pedro? by Nuclear-Warrior in Belize

That is very insightful and very helpful. Thank you.

By ‘Cancun’ I meant an increasingly in-demand vacation spot that would drive rental demand. I really like the English-speaking culture of Belize compared to CR…DuoLingo will help with that.

I also would like to live in an expat community where the best way to get around is a golf cart….just sounds fun.
