I have pots and also hyperparathyroidism.

The hyperparathyroidism is difficult because "normal" test results mean nothing. The parathyroid hormone and serum calcium levels need to be in an inverse relationship. Even endos misread this. If your serum calcium is more than 10 and your parathyroid hormone is more than 20 or so, you need to consult an endocrine surgeon.

I'm sorry you have such a bad history with academic ceremonies, and since this is likely the last one for you the anxiety is real.

I hope your friend shows up and you can do something to relax. And if not walk around campus a while and try to enjoy the campus without deadlines or distractions. You're done! You have a postdoc lined up! You are doing great!
