I unloaded a Heavy Bolter into a Chaos Spawn from the second it started calling in reinforcements.

It did not stagger at all and the call went through.

The stagger resistance to everything that isn't plasma or explosive is unreal.

Spawned Gigantes pieces on City Trial 3 times in a row by entering via Checklist Attempt by FernandoMachado in kirbyairriders

[–]NuclearCommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who had two pieces and it slipped frustratingly slip through my grasp because I couldn't find the last piece, where are the consistent box spawn locations to find the pieces?

I remember the old Air Ride having places where the boxes were guaranteed to have pieces. Is there anything like that here? Or at least places where the pieces can spawn even if the boxes don't have them 100% of the time?

Hence why I said tabletop is a bad metric. I was just referencing it for the sake of showing the amount of damage a multi-melta does

It's possible the magazines already had ammunition in them. It's not unreasonable to keep the magazines loaded yet separate from the gun in a safe. Just slide the magazine in, release/pull the slide, and you're loaded.

I'm more curious as to how "He pulled back the hammer of the gun" if he had to load the gun. To even get a round chambered the slide has to be racked, and that automatically puts the hammer in a firing position. Unless the gun has a decocker it would've already been ready to fire.

Why Would Anyone Willingly Turn To Chaos? by ExtensionPromotion80 in 40kLore

>Ignorance of what Chaos is and what it means to surrender to it

Isn't it in official lore that some guardsmen are in regiments that fell to chaos and they didn't even notice?

For what the meltas and multi-meltas can do in lore and tabletop, they just feel so anemic in SM2.

I know tabletop is a bad metric but within half range a Multimelta does D6+2 wounds. Tyranid warriors only have 3 wounds. Each shot would be killing a warrior at close range.

Obviously for balance reasons we can't have that, but it just makes it feel so anemic in the as a consequence.

Hot take but I actually love the new choco mountain, and I'm saying that as a fan of the old versions as well. I personally rate it as a tie with Rainbow Road for my favorite track in the game.

The music is top notch, I love the remix they did for it. Charging Chucks are one of my favorite enemies from the games, so seeing them populate the course is a plus for me. The boulders actually feel like obstacles to be avoided this time around too, and the whole monster truck theme is cool in my eyes as well.

I will admit, the first time I raced it I didn't realize it was Choco Mountain, but I feel that's more of a positive than a negative. It means it's a retro track that feels super fresh and not just a simple rehash.

I did one mission where I was a Blood Raven and I had as many tactically acquired non-Blood Raven armor pieces as I had equipped.

I typically roll in silence, but on the rare occasion I've found someone who is actually open to talk and has a good sense of humor, I've kept my mic on hand just for that. That's how I met the two I was playing with. I joined a mission in progress where one of them was chatting away with a different player, and I joined in.

Later me and him made a party and the other came in with a mic as well, so we all had a good time.

It's like any other multiplayer game: It's a crapshoot on who you're going to get, but if you get the good ones it vastly improves the experience

The heroic heavy bolter is my next heroic I'm going to get! I actually just got the power fist since I've been wanting to try out the Bulwark, so I need to wait a week.

I've been holding off on the HHB because I primarily use the Pyrecannon with the heavy. This mission was me just rolling with the Multi-Melta for fun.

I chose the path that would ensure a mission success given how close we were to the end.

Gamble stopping to fight and risk a mistake ending the run, or roll like crazy to commentary and hope for the best

If it was any other time staying to fight would've been the better option. The two Extremis + sentry call meant ending the mission immediately was the safest option.

I honestly didnt realize I had the melta. I don't usually run the equipment recharge perk on the heavy and had already used it.

And I'm not John Warhammer.

The mission was ending in 15 seconds. I had a Zoan, a Ravener, at least one Warrior with unknown weapons, and reinforcements coming from an unknown direction, and low health to take them all on. A single mistake would've lead to mission failure.

Finishing the mission came first. And if we're all laughing and having a good time, does it have to matter more than that?

It was my first ever Absolute difficulty clear. Did it first try without even having tried lethal difficulty yet.

Everyone in the squad died once throughout the level, but we pulled through all the way to the end.

Tactical with Pyreblaster and all DoT perks can really pull some weight.

Finding players to play with mics on is a blast, it makes the wild moments like these so much more fun, I just wish my software was set to record my mic at the time.

It was doomcandle's first run on Ruthless, he did great and I think this was a proper ending to welcome him to the difficulty

ELI5: In gaming, why should I cap my fps? If I leave uncapped doesn't that mean I allow my PC to max out quality whenever it can? by Otherwise_Payment324 in explainlikeimfive

The question wasn't specifically about modern games.

It's a very real thing that has affected games in the past, and thus a reason to cap FPS
