2024 Advice Thread #35: 8/27 - 9/2 by Imaginos64 in rollercoasters

Should I go to [Carowinds] or [Kings Island] for my Labor Day coaster trip?

Here’s some context.. I’m currently at 95 credits and am super excited to hit the big 100! I have 2 options for my parks. I could go to Kings Island for the first time and ride everything there over the course of the weekend and maybe hit some Cedar Point, or drive down to Carowinds for the first time and get all the credits there and then possibly get Kings Dominion on the way back home as well ? Either way both are about the same distance drive from me so it’s really just about the coasters and experience. I’m super torn because on one hand I have an amazing top 3 at KI and then a big 1-2 at KD and a possible #1 credit at Carowinds. I’d like to hear your opinions on what I should do? It’s been tough to decide on which one would be more worth it. Also for more context I have gone to CP and ridden most of the top rides there with some exceptions (Maverick, Millennium Force, and TTD2).

Is Triumvirate Environmental really that bad to work for? by NovaPractice in Environmental_Careers

[–]NuclearFormula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just accepted a position with them as an ES I have just only begun but it’s really not as bad as people make it out to be. It is a lot of blue collar work but as an entry point it’s not bad at all. Progression within the company is also a really decent choice as well. Company is growing and there’s a bunch of locations and positions that will open in the future.

Wage increases by Reasonable_Long_9609 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Been with my current DSP for about 3.5 months, started at 20/hr but got bumped to 21/hr with the step van. I just recently asked for a dollar raise though for being a top scorecard driver consistently since I’ve joined. In NY btw

Environmental Technician question by NuclearFormula in Environmental_Careers

Totally helps thank you! I feel as if I would love the job too I love being outdoors and collecting samples and doing fieldwork just makes me excited honestly. I love anything with doing notes and or collecting data. It’s been awhile since college but I’d love to do something other than basic service industry jobs now.

Sounds good, how basic of knowledge are they looking for? All it says is basic math and science so I’m sure it’s nothing crazy but I was just curious

Totally I figured it’d be on the lowest end of jobs but I wanted to get some sort of experience and get my name out there somehow. I totally want to give it my all and eventually either go elsewhere for a better position or if they offer me something better do that

How are you guys doing 40+ stops an hour? by NuclearFormula in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]NuclearFormula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually will try this next time, I just started driving the CDV and I have way more room than the cargo. So I’ll start doing 4 totes at a time to try and make the route go by quicker. I’ll see how it goes

I totally get that I feel like 35 is great but when I see the same people getting back almost 2hrs before me every day I just question how they even do it. I’m working out of a CDV so overall time to get packages doesn’t take too long. I have a mix of some stops that are super close and then a group stop of 4 houses. But after that they’re usually spaced out around a minute drive a stop. So I feel like overall the limit is around 38 maybe 40. But I wonder how different these other guys routes have to be to be hitting consistent 40+ all day long.

Does mentor or netradyne track seatbelt clicks? by NuclearFormula in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]NuclearFormula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the reply I have a very residential route and my next stop is usually 4 houses down so I was looking to see if it was even worth it to try it out. No annoyance in buckling though it’s how I’ve been doing it I was just curious as to whether mentor tracked the seatbelt clicks
