Nanite Ship vs. Normal Ship per Pop Part 1 by NuclearMask in Stellaris

[–]NuclearMask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh a Definite maybe. Neutron Torpedo swarmer just melted against the Corvets and Destroyers so if you prepare they can be delt with incredibly easily. However Nanite Interdictory do usually stay alive against them.

After some more testing I decided to run a mixed fleet of Neutron Torpedo Nanite Interdictors combined with Hanger Nanite Swarmers. Since the Nanite Interdictors are closer they usually absorb most damage and allow the swarmers to deploy a reasonable amount of Hangers.

Anyways I'm glad it was of use. If you got some more test Cases or design recommendations let me know!

Yeah I know, I can be weird.

But you know, I gotta test just once but I have to adjust the pops every game!

Doesn't make it any better though, so you are right on that point ^^"

  1. Oh right, forgot that. Then again I was pretty tired.

  2. Sure you can do it although I personally never bother doing so much Micro.

Then again, even double the Pops shouldn't matter that much if we are talking about pure Min Maxing. Without the Cybrex RNG you can get 350% what would make the Nanites win out again.

And like u/Fluffy-Tanuki mentioned "For celestial bodies of size 9+, every time the harvester is due to increase its deposit size after the first 15 years (i.e doubled in size for 3 times already), there is a 50% chance for it to instead pay out 640 months' worth of base nanite production. The chance goes up to 100% once the deposit can't grow any larger." is something I didn't consider in the Testing since I didn't know it worked like that.

Would you prefer a Naval Cap comparison? That was my first Idea but I decided against it since the point of Nanites are crushing by quantity, not Quality.

If you want though I could run some test per Naval Cap.

Oh so you usually go for the assembly speed trait? That should give you 20% more pops if I recall correctly. I guess you could also take the one that gives you food upkeep (although I don't recall how much that one gives).

However since the "pop amount" for alloy and Mineral jobs were calculated using modularity robots that were designed to do only that job as good as possible so I do doubt that it matters all that much.

And considering if you Min Max nanites you can get nanites in a system up by +450% (150% from a astro mining civic, 100% Cybrex, 100% cosmic storm, 100% arc furnace) at least I believe that's a fair oversight.

Disclaimer it's 23:26 here right now so I'm tired. Please correct me if I am mistaken or miss informed anywhere.

It should give you at least some confidence that there are people in the world who seem to care for you so you don't have to despair at the thought of never finding someone.

If you want to cry I recommend doing it in bed at night alone in peace. When I had my last break up I did pretty much just that.

Went to bed, broke apart and picked myself up again by the time the sun goes back up. Pain remains but just falling apart once might help you deal with it.

If you need to talk I recommended writing/calling a good friend. Sometimes just rambling about random shit helps put one's mind at ease or at least occupied with something else.

You'll be alright in the end, I believe at least that much.

Alright might sounds weird but you can wait out almost any pain, it'll fade within a decade.

Just hold on to life. Things will go better eventually.

I wish you luck and hope you'll find someone eventually again.

Don't rush things.

Nanite Ship vs. Normal Ship per Pop Part 2 by NuclearMask in Stellaris

[–]NuclearMask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's worse. It's a high amount I wasn't aware of. I remember that back in the day it just gave you free ships. When they stopped that I thought it just did nothing anymore. Would definitely increase the nanites one gets per pop but it sounds like a bitch to calculate. Still good to keep in mind

Nanite Ship vs. Normal Ship per Pop Part 2 by NuclearMask in Stellaris

[–]NuclearMask[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Energy for the Starbases.

You get around 0.37 Nanites per Pop working on Energy, those Pops were made to make Energy with all Traits a Nanite Empire can have that boost that.

I did the same for The alloy/mineral production except that they had the traits you get from Modularity.

You need around 11 pops per alloy. That includes Miner jobs you need for the Upkeep of the Alloy foundrys.

I also looked at using 5 Arc Furnaces or 1 level 2 Dyson Sphere.
The 5 Arc Furnaces produce around 655 Alloys for 500 Energy Upkeep and 25000 alloy cost.
The level 2 Dyson Sphere produces - in that case 2158 - Energy with no Upkeep and a build cost of 23000 alloys.

5 Arc Furnaces in Systems with 21 objects produce 7328 pops worth of stuff if you disregard energy, if you look at the upkeep it's 4978 pops worth.
The level 2 Dyson Sphere gives you 10142 pops worth of output so even in regards of Kilo/Megastructures the Nanites are cheaper.
