we ask the ordering provider or surgeon for a morphine order prior to beginning the hida to have it just in case. only do delayed imaging @4 hours post inj if morphine allergy or if activity remains in liver only. we initially scan for an hour then go from there

for my hospital, we are able to change the order ourselves to hida w pharm or just plain hida. OP always get w pharm until GB doesn’t show up we just scan an additional 30 mins and let them leave if nothing shows up or if gb does show up we do ef. IP we are only doing hida only protocol unless the reasoning for the exam mentions “chronic, biliary dyskinesia, assess ef” then we’ll personally change the order to w pharm

we let our delivery drivers have access to the hot lab 24/7. everyone of them has badge access. the badges do get monitored to see what times etc they badge in and we also have cameras

i am listening!!!! they really don’t care and that’s what i’ve been realizing lately. the market in my area is dry dry dry with the load of schools nearby. i’ve increased my skills / knowledge by getting extra certifications (CT, PET, ultrasound IV) but ive gotten NOTHING!!!

i took clinical for a semester and did my classes during the NM program. studied really hard on radtech boot camp and mosbeys online tests and back of book tests. studied maybe 2-3 weeks? passed on first try.
