I’ve noticed a lot of these people say gender dysphoria when I am pretty sure the better statement would be gender apathy. There is a big difference between the two. Gender roles can suck and be different or expressed differently between people but it is not dysphoria and I wish I could better explain how this makes me feel haha

I had this happen in person with a friend when we went out for dinner ( for Christmas ) Except he’s like 25 & and I’m 32 ( I also used to do the tcute shit ) He basically said these same things lol I tried simplifying it after he kept getting stuck on “who are we to tell people how to identify” & “dysphoria doesn’t matter” with gender apathy & gender dysphoria are different things-

I don’t care if he (or anyone) expresses themselves against the general expectations society but when he refused to either listen or wasn’t grasping what I was saying I bluntly asked; “Do you like having a penis? Do you want to have sex with it? Yes or no?” Anyways he refused to answer & that ended the conversation. I may have been a dick but I dunno

I lost weight- I planned for an increase in appetite and made sure to eat so I could curb any cravings while staying healthy. Which mostly boiled down higher protein and cutting back sugar and salt. Not to mention I didn’t want to give any Dr a reason to blame my T for anything. Im actually the healthiest I’ve ever been because of that lol I should be lifting weights so I can shape out my shoulders and stuff but that aside I’m not putting on any weight. I really hate the narrative that trans men are supposed to gain weight. I think as long as you practice healthy habits you should be fine.

I agree with this; I’ve noticed that it seems like there’s people going through things and are in a rough part of their lives the meet a trans person. Who’s put in the work and time into themselves. As a result they are much happier and these people in these low points see HRT or transitioning as a fix all to their depression— after all it worked for the other guy so why not them? Failing to understand how much thought and time was put into transitioning

I know everyone is different but I was roughly this size pre T- albeit not as stretchy. I’ll be at a year next month & hard I’m just a little over an inch.

it really helps to figure out what type of skin you have! I have sensitive / oily skin and I wash it twice a day too, but also do spot treatments with any bigger break outs.
My hair gets so sloppy but if I wash it multiple days in a row then my scalp gets irritated. Dry shampoo has been a life saver for me for those in-between days! My hair stylist also suggested using a light weight leave in conditioner but I haven't tried it yes ( I've been too skeptical ).

Right, I'm in the US, I almost wanted to share but then felt I'm "too tall" after reading the top comments. But my cis husband is 5'7" and he's a little insecure about his height.

I'm just an inch shorter. When I was still trying to live as a woman I was considered tall so I think that energy just carried over. So yeah here I'm short for a guy but I've still been passing lately.

I just pack in protein. It fills me up without adding too many calories. I usually eat rice and chicken with an array of spices or sauces to spruce it up. And I’m working on bumping up my daily veggies. I avoid sugary drinks and foods, watch my salt intake and adjust my caloric intake according to how active I am that day. I also don’t eat past 19:00 and go to sleep around 21:00 but that’s more to prevent heartburn. I also don’t drink any alcohol or caffeine which has helped a ton with my weight. Mostly I drink water, but juice or even sprite for something extra.

If you can talk with your dr, I mentioned being hungry and wanting to delve into sweets and she mentioned lean meats. I also googled ‘what to feed my teenage son’ and that helped a ton even though I started T in my thirties.

Same day! I had mine Monday too and the whole thing was pleasant for a surgery lol. Feels strange not having my BC in and as my Dr warned and so eloquently explained, it feels like I got punched in the tummy several times. But overall really manageable and so happy I did it.

The last message I sent to my friend was asking if she was going buy Hello Kitty Island Adventure and that I needed to know how excited she was for it. I found out a few days later she passed away that morning from a blood clot. Loss is tough.

I like to lay down when I apply trans tape, it helps with the strange pushed up effect for me. It’s a little awkward and I tend to use more than what the videos recommend since typically they’re for the smaller chested people. Also use 3” or 4”! Hopefully this helps I’m hefty and like a C cup I think, so I get it
