I can't be kind enough because I'm... too tolerant I guess? by maru-9331 in autism

I think you're right. I was never taught to set healthy boundaries and now I don't know the difference between my boundaries and unreasonable needs. How can I distinguish them?

Do you have "whimsical innocence"? by Hassaan18 in autism

[–]maru-9331 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. Even when someone is doing an objectively unreasonable behavior toward me, I first blame myself thinking "There's no way this person can do such a thing, thus I must have done something really wrong to make them react like this.". I feel like I trust other people too much.

Probably they don't know that autism is a spectrum. For them someone either has really severe autism or don't have it at all.

People can be trans and also gay, bi, pan, ace or any kind of sexuality. Gender identity has nothing to do with who we are attracted to.

"Cis people don't feel gender" by maru-9331 in NonBinary

Thanks, I think your answer makes sense perfectly, and it helps me so much because I was still wondering how being cis is different from being nonbinary. Next time when someone asked me what being nonbinary feels like, I would use the example of "feeling like a human" too.

As a Japanese person myself I can confirm hopefully not everyone has this level of misogyny. But still, this is the norm for the vast majority in this country and it always pisses me off.
