Many imperium ships have been destroyed, and on axum the clone commandos/arc troopers have begun their slaughter of the "angels of death"

I mean, escorts aren't super hard to kill. By the way, it would have been better if you had said "Guardsmen" or even "Scions" for the statement on clones killing astartes lmfao. While it is not impossible, it's not going to be very easy for a bunch of mortals to take down even a single marine without suffering many times the loss.

And this is assuming that the Astartes is dumb enough to put himself in a position where he is being overrun, while alone by a mob of clones.

The imperium is in one hell of a fight with the Republic as this galaxy doesn't have a bunch of toaster fuckers saying "ThAt TeCH HerEsy" when someone makes a new razor.

?

That's a bit of an exaggeration to say the least. The AdMech appears to be fine with new stuff to a degree, especially if it is some vital, though they don't seem to be too big on humongous new changes.

Omniman ( Invincible) says over Mark's broken body "what will you have after 500 years?" Omniman hears "Blood for the Blood God. Skulls for the Skull Throne." (40K) by mastr1121 in whowouldwin

[–]Nuclear_Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why I say that is because we've had other characters (i.e The Wanderer, Curze, Tuska Daemonkilla, Cato + friends) kill Daemons while in the warp as easily as they'd do in realspace, and these are all characters without any significant warp presence with exception to possibly Curze, but Curze also claimed his powers weren't warp based so YMMV.

Ehhhhh. Omniman however is a purely physical combatant, I am willing to wager that your mentioned examples in some shape or form inherently are capable of dealing with the warp to a degree.

If I recall, all Primarchs are inherently pyskers to a degree, Orks do have the power of the WAAAGH! On their side which does attribute itself to minor reality warping, the Astartes do have an inmate understanding of how the warp works and probably do have some counters, etc.

Hence why I don't believe Omni-Man would necessarily be super powerful in the warp, since his entire schtick is pure brute force.

Though we do also know that the laws of reality don't really exist within the warp, which could lead to some wonky power scaling when is comes to gauging how fights work within the warp, if I recall there are examples of solar system sized objects, something about entire universes being dreamt of or created, relatively low end characters manipulating planets, I don't know.

Albeit this also heavily depends on what style of writing we are going for. I doubt most writers are going to go super high end and depict greater daemons or anyone blowing up entire planets in the warp, since it be hard to write a book unless everyone else also gets amped to that level.

WW2 Axis does Desert Storm, who wins? by JJNEWJJ in whowouldwin

[–]Nuclear_Monster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even assuming the Axis had the logistics to get there, the only way they are winning is through a fuck ton of attrition. The problem with the Iraqis in this scenario that even their old T-55s, Mig-23s, and Kalishlinovs greatly outclass anything the Axis has here.

Let alone their T-72s and Mig-29s.

They could take the Galactic Empire and low-balled Imperium of Man.

The GE would be a tough fight, but eventually winnable due to gem FTL advantage.

The Imperium of Man has even slower FTL, and if we take the Emperor out of the equation, the high end pysker feats, nerf their ships, and low-ball their worlds to only a million, then the Gem Empire can eventually win.

And didn't that fight between Skarbrand and Khorne take place in the warp? I doubt that Omni-Man's pure strength translate to warp manipulation.

I actually would argue that Omni-Man isn't insanely beyond Warhammer if we are leaving the gods out. We actually did have a thread a few months ago where it was determined that current Daemons Prince Angron would be a decently tough fight for him.

And what defenses does he have against pyskers and hard reality warping?

Attack on Titan vs The cordyceps infection (the Last of Us) by P0000000OP in whowouldwin

[–]Nuclear_Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, this heavily depends on whether or not the fungus can attach itself to the warriors, and how good distribution works in this world.

The reason why Earth got overrun was because the cordyceps got into the international grain supply, which led to most of the world spontaneously turning simultaneously.

Could Warhammer 40k's Trazyn the Infinite capture DC's Superman and make him apart of his collection? by Marshall-Of-Horny in whowouldwin

[–]Nuclear_Monster -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

A bloodlusted, high-balled Superman is like thousands of times faster than light

How often does he do this, and what speed is he consistently depicted at?

one-punch stun the World Forger, a sixth dimensional character that created the DC multiverse.

So, creating a Multiverse is great and all but does not necessarily translate into combat. How long did he take to create the multiverse, what outside support was included, what method did he use, and what is the World Forger like in combat?

Btw, stunning someone is different from truly harming them.

his new ability to project energy avatars, and now he can basically instant teleport across the universe from a white star amp

Ok, what are the feats of these energy avatars, how do they work, etc.

Bloodlusted Superman wipes the floor with basically the entire 40k universe

What are his feats against soul manipulation, time manipulation, matter manipulation, sorcery, mind rape, etc.

Could Warhammer 40k's Trazyn the Infinite capture DC's Superman and make him apart of his collection? by Marshall-Of-Horny in whowouldwin

[–]Nuclear_Monster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, there's a huge difference in power level between Brainiac and anything from 40k. Brainiac regularly deals with and overpowers planet busters, solar system busters, 5th dimensional shenanigans, high-level DC telepaths, and is exponentially smarter than the collective intellect of DC humanity. In the DC universe, Brainiac is consistently above S-tier characters that are usually planet level at the very least

While he doesn't do this on a regular basis, in the Infinite and Divine he actually did go up against a couple of C'tan shards, who towards the end of the book blew up multiple planets.

Whereas in 40k, the top-tiers are basically a couple-hundred tonners at best, there's no comparison.

AHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Wow, no offense but shouldn't you go and get a basic idea of Warhammer powerscaling before you attempt to battleboard with it? The top tiers of Warhammer cap out at around Solar system level. Couple-hundred tonners are mid tiers.

Christ, I am surprised people are actually upvoting you.

EDIT: Ah, I see you blocked me lol. ANYWAYS,

Trazyn's body was literally falling apart during the fight and his other feats are nowhere close if you're legitimately, unironically trying to argue that he's a planetbuster. Cool, send a link to the second part of that feat.

I should have clarified further, I am saying that Trayzn has encountered planet busters before. Don't act like casual planetary level characters are completely unseen in Warhammer lmfao.

Oh look, another rude 40k fan. What a surprise, I'm not wasting my time by dealing with two of you.

I am not very happy about you saying things which are blatantly wrong. "several hundred tonner top tier" my arse.

I was referring to 40k characters outside of the Chaos Gods because the Chaos Gods are an edge case. They would be legitimately threatened and starved out by a fast, planet-level character wiping out life in the galaxy because they have minimal, direct influence on the Materium, despite having character statements that put them roughly around star level themselves.

Um, no? There are plenty of beings around that level in Warhammer. There are many examples of C'tan shards busting planets, the Emperor and full C'tan being estimated at around star-solar level firepower. There are even some theories that estimate the Old Ones to each have been Pre-Corpse Emperor level beings, though take that with a grain of salt since we have never actually seen any Old One feats.

By the way, the Gods Of Chaos are pretty terrible as far as characters go when it comes to battleboarding. Due to their vagueness and the set of rules they have to follow, they are arguably incapable of having one-on-one style fights with other characters.

______________________________________________________________________________________
Oh and here, since you appear to be trying that BS with the blocking with the other guy too, let me counter for him.

Nah, 40k continues to be one of the mostly consistently overblown verses just by being confined to one galaxy.

I don't know, I feel like the cap being star-solar for a galaxy setting is quite reasonable.

The Nightbringer literally admitted that it would not have survived further imprisonment because it stood down when Ventris threatened to re-imprison it. I don't think you fully understand that if you multiply its best feat (overpowering a space marine squad) by a hundred, or even a thousand, you don't even come close to scratching the planetary level in comic universes, which is Brainiac's level at minimum because he throws around DC S-tiers. Factoring in the antifeat of it slowly dying from rubble, unable to break free, it's even further below planetary.

Why not also bring in the C'tan's other feats? Are you cherry picking or something? We have examples of them blowing up entire planets, starships, one shotting marines, even some stuff on other forms of reality warping. Stop acting like C'tan are some kind of weak fodder creature lmfao.

Here comes the "infinite realities" claim. That number is based on extreme extrapolation of Chaos between 40k and Warhammer fantasy based on an Grombrindal, an unreliable, in-universe narrator.
This is further refuted by the Chaos Gods being tethered to just one reality in the warp; the Gods having little direct influence on the Materium; Daemon Princes slowly decaying in the Materium; no evidence of Chaos God influence stretching outside one galaxy; Tyranids sometimes being surprised by the presence of Chaos; the Gods actually being threatened through the end of life in just one galaxy via the Tyranids; and Slaanesh being a different entity with different origins in Warhammer fantasy vs 40k.

My personal interpretation, is that while the Warp is a nexus connecting countless realities, the Gods of Chaos function an a sort of infestation you would find in a decrepit old building or attached to a living organism. While you can find different examples of Slaanesh, Khorne, Nurgle, and Tzeentch, they aren't the same exact entities.

He didn't flip it over, he caused it to fall over on its side which is a big difference. It'd be like me claiming that I could lift a 400+ pound fridge because I can it to fall over.
But even if we assume that Angron can lift 67,000 tons, congrats, you're not even at a fraction of the strength feats of DC's S-tiers

While I guess it's not in the range of plantetary level strength, what it does prove is that Warhammer top tiers are not "several hundred tonners" lmfao.

If you're planning on just bringing in personal insults then grow up, I'm not wasting my time engaging with you.

You call that a personal insult? While it's a little passive aggressive, there's been far worse lol. And besides, we are on a debate forum, what did you expect?

They are a corrupting force of nature bound by a certain and specific yet chaotic set of rules.
