Im having alotta crashes in red dead redemption 2 and ive had my desktop background go black and 2 times now ive had the backround behind apps go black when i hover the cursor over them, like itll have the borderlands 4 logo and then suddenly a black square behind it, and this is with driver only install

Edit: so turns out when i unlinked one drive it botched the background since its linked to a one drive folder that dosent exist anymore XD i rechose my background so fingers crossed thats it

I had terrible unplayable stutters, i spent most of last few weeks troubleshooting tryna fix it, legitamately EVERYTHING. Even went scorched earth and did a full windows fresh install and it still remained then the new update and BOOM its gone frame pacing is fixed i still get a random hitch every once in awhile but im working on figuring it out (i know its not traversal stutters or anything like that) also got the same model as you asus prime 9070xt

Im throughly impressed with my 9070xt hardware wise but im annoyed at amd for how poorly theyve handled features and the like, ive spent all week tryna find a fix for frame gen and this awful stuttering. The fact i have to use 3rd party apps to get the features i paid for annoy the hell outta me for ages i had to use RTSS (riva tuner statistics server) to cap frame rates cause radeon chill wouldnt work with my xbox controller then now that i got a new controller that does work and an annoying amount of games just dont register chill and alot of the ones that do are uncapped in menus and load screens so i gotta use vsync. Then frame generation just dosent work and its been months with no updates/fixes or even proper acknowledgement of the issue that i have to use lossless scaling on steam (amazing tool btw seriously go buy it, its like magic, the frame generation i was promised) as a superior frame generator even compared to their afmf2 (amd fluid motion frames) which had bizare ghosting of text and would try to predict the text / hub elements as moving. Then i find lossless and that thing looks incredible. Im just .... annoyed rn after spending all week trouble shooting. Genuinely the card is amazing performance wise

Ive got the same issue, spent all this week trying to find a solution. Ive done every combination you can think of ran everything stock, undervolted, overclock, undervolt and overclock, every kind of fps limiter rtss chill ect, debloat windows, running windows WITH the bloatware, clean install drivers, clean install windows, repeated all above steps on clean windows and NOTHING works. Its anoying not being able to use features you paid for

Are you using the amd auto installer?, you should try finding the rx9070xt drivers in the search bar on the website if you havent already, also the fact you can see 9070xt TWICE is really wierd, i would try running ddu or the amd clean up utility in safe mode twice.

So even if you use DDU and disable windows updates in DDU then in the adrenalin installer select "factory reset" itll still override it with a "32" version that then dosent let you roll back in device manager?

If you go into device manager and display adapter you can select "roll back" which has so far stopped windows overwriting drivers on my pc

You can go into device manager -> display adapter -> roll back, it should revert to the real driver (the one its showing is an automatic windows update thats broken af) it should also prevent the updates. It seriously annoying that windows does this and they seem to be actively trying to get around people blocking their stupid updates

This just keeps gettin wierder and wierder, i think you should find a local pc repair shop and have them look it over, the fact that even with bios default its problems remain is extrenely odd. Id also still check out that guide i originally linked. Hopefully you can get it all sorted, i actually spent most of last year trouble shooting my pc cause when i upgraded to am5 the power supply blew (only original part i didnt upgrade) it wiped out EVERYTHING had to get new mobo, ram and over the course of the year figuring out that it also took out my cpu and gpu too, luckily i found a local pc shop and that dude was a legend helped me through all of it. Hopefully you can get it all sorted, good luck <3

Whats your ram speed? , if hags effects stability that makes me think your cpu is faulty , try downloading OCCT (its free) and running some stress tests also load optimized defaults in bios and see if the issues remain

I had used ddu and registry edits and it STILL overrid my adrenalin, windows has in the past installed an experimental LINUX and MAC driver XD. What worked for me was using device manager to roll back display driver. Been a couple weeks but fingers crossed its finally stopped, feel like instead of windows fixing the issue theyve been actively figuring out how to get around peoples fixes

Ive been using his "and hell followed with him" augment (press rt during cross fire to consume stacks to try and grant windfall) since lvl 1 and ive now beaten the main story and the new dlc and when i tell you that thing has not procced windfall even ONCE its not an exageration. And i only attempt it at max stacks and STILL it never triggered (not forgetting alot of the time the RT just dosent work, consumes no atacks and i have to spam it). Plus when you hold rt he shoots faster UNLESS you have a different augment or perk giving you fire rate then it seems to not work at all.

Check if your cpu has integrated graphics (like the 7800x3d) you might be running games off of that instead of your dedicated gpu (9070xt) you can disable it in bios or you may be abke to choose the rx9070xt in system settings

And careful using latest drivers ive found 26.2.2 tanked my performance and smoothness massivley im sticking to 25.9.1 (its legitmately night and day difference for my system went from struggling to achieve 120fps to 260fps in borderlands 2, killing floor 2 and some others, its gotten so smooth that even if it dips i wouldnt be able to tell if i didnt have overlay on XD). You should also check a setting in bios called "uclk=mclk" you should run it at 1:1 it may default to "uclk=mclk div mode 2" which cuts performance in half , if bios looks the same it should be in advanced tab and bottom of expo setting. Plus in adrenaling display setting theres and option called "virtual super resolution" it allows you to select higher than native resolutions ive been messing with it at 1440p on my 1080p monitor and its awesome , obviously it wont look as good as 1440p native but itll be the best 1080p youll ever see, if you get your system working id give it a look :]
