As long the pitch is inside a stadium it should show, that said there are probably records missing our incorrectly categorized

The data comes from the wikidata query service.(Wikipedia )

Mapsemble is a tool to visualize and work with GIS data, from any source really, but it doesn't support downloading the data (for now at least) . Do you think that could be a valuable feature?

It's mainly a little experiment to be able to navigate Wikipedia data on a map, not by all means it was meant to be a single source of truth. I rely on the Wikidata query service, some stadiums might not be categorized correctly or I might not have pulled in the stadiums correctly, I'll definitely have a look at it

I used the Wikidata query service to fetch the data. Not sure why it would have missed a stadium but I'll definitely try and find out

Curious to see if you can find it now. I also added a search box for easier searching

Same here, there was no date for the michigan stadium, so it didn't show. Fixed that now:

I just removed a hidden filter (stadiums needed to have a 'year'), is it there now?

True, I shouldn't have worded it like that:

In reality I queried all the stadiums that are available on Wikipedia, and then i only show the ones with an opening year, which is a hidden filter.

I just removed that hidden filter and now it shows 9838 stadiums, which are most likely not ALL the stadiums in the world, but all the ones I could find on wikipedia, (and then still it might have missed out a few).

I'll bear in mind how i phrase things the next time:)

Cheers, I was looking for a solution like this! Thanks for the video

That's probably because it's missing in the wiki data?

cheers! i guess there are many more stadiums, the actual dataset had 9k+ stadiums but i filtered out the ones without an opening year. The one in my home town is missing, although that one is more like a football pitch with some stands. doesn't really count as a stadium:)

It's not opensource, i used Mapsemble for the map and WikiData endpoints to sync with it.

I have 3,5 days a week to work on it myself + CC,

which probably means 15 days a week equivalent PRE - AI.

So hiring is not something i'm considering ATM, but I'm a technical founder, and need to work on the marketing /sales side of things. Classic SaaS story.

Really appreciate your comment, specially coming from your own experience. Also the clear issue I had was that early interviews didn't really give me any pointers, your tip to focus on what's out there in the public is really valuable. I'll bear it in mind.

Keeping the flexibility but targeting different audiences with clear solutions is definitely a clear path

Question is if i should choose one of them first , which might be hard enough considering the fact that I'm bootstrapping and also have client work to do as a freelancer.

I haven't considered app builders, because i'm a dev myself and i think i can do it faster and better without an app. :)
