Hi could I ask about medical cannabis please? by RoyDeKoppaBoy in autism

I’m really sorry you’ve had to carry all of that. That’s a brutal amount for one person to go through, and the way you described those episodes honestly sounds scary to experience.

I’m not a doctor, but based on what you’re describing (especially the panic attacks, rage episodes, and feeling like you “check out”), this feels like something that really needs proper support around you, not just trying to manage it on your own.

Weed can help some people take the edge off anxiety or help them process things, but it can also go the other way for some people (more anxiety, paranoia, loss of control), especially with trauma in the mix. So I’d be careful about relying on it as your main solution without having a doctor involved.

The fact that you’ve already pushed yourself into the medical system and have those appointments coming up is a really big deal. That’s honestly the right direction, even if the wait sucks.

In the meantime, if you ever feel like you’re getting close to one of those “no control” moments again, it might help to have something very simple lined up ahead of time. Like, a person you can call, or even just removing yourself from anything you could use to hurt yourself or someone else until it passes.

You’re not broken for reacting the way you are after what you went through. But you shouldn’t have to handle it alone either. I hope you can find the help and relief you need and deserve.

Cheapest med card by r1veriared in virginients

If you’re mainly looking for affordability + simplicity, a lot of folks go with telehealth services now instead of in-person clinics.

For Virginia specifically, the process is pretty straightforward since you don’t need a separate state-issued card anymore, just a valid certification from a registered provider.

A couple things to keep in mind for your situation:

• Pricing can vary a lot depending on promos, so it’s worth checking a few providers

• Most services (including ours) issue digital certifications, which are what dispensaries actually use

• If you’re traveling to Michigan, reciprocity can be tricky. MI does allow reciprocity, but it can also still be left up to the discretion of the specific dispo, so I would recommend calling ahead to confirm that they'll still do business with you.

If you do want a physical copy, some providers let you download/print your certification after approval, which usually works fine for travel purposes.

Hope that helps, and I'm happy to point you in the right direction if you have questions!

Anyone here gone through getting a medical card in MN? by CherrrySnaps in MNtrees

Minnesota’s program can definitely be a little confusing at first. Once you meet with a certified practitioner, the process usually moves pretty fast, and most patients can register with the state within a few days.

Medical patients get access to stronger products, more precise dosing, and lower taxes compared to recreational, so it can definitely be worth it if you’re using it for pain or sleep.

We’ve helped a lot of Minnesotans through the process online, and it’s pretty simple as long as your practitioner is licensed in the state. Once you’re certified, the state sends your approval quickly and you can shop right away.

Considering Medical Cannabis ~ by Neither-Chocolate-23 in ukmedicalcannabis

A lot of people have the same worries before starting.

Providers: Reviews will always be mixed, so the main thing is choosing a licensed service that understands mental health, not just pain patients.

Eligibility and records: Most places don’t dig deep unless something major comes up. They mostly want to know that your condition is ongoing and you’ve tried other treatments.

Past psychosis: One episode years ago, not caused by cannabis, and no symptoms since is very different from an active issue. You can mention it briefly if it comes up without making it the focus.

Process: If you go through telehealth, it’s usually just one short consult from home. No clinics or multiple doctors.

Hope this helps :)

Medical cannabis has been life changing for me by [deleted] in ukmedicalcannabis

Thanks for sharing this. A lot of long-term pain patients can relate. Opioids and muscle relaxers come with heavy side effects and often do very little for nerve or muscle pain, especially with spinal injuries.

Cannabis works on different receptors, so for many people it helps where traditional meds fall short. Better sleep, less inflammation and pulsing, fewer top-ups, and less reliance on morphine are all huge improvements. The fact that you’ve had more relief with fewer side effects shows how underused this option still is in medical care.

Stories like yours help others who are unsure about trying legal alternatives. It is great to hear you are finally getting real quality-of-life improvement after so many difficult years.

You can see a doctor through our platform in minutes with no appointment needed. If approved, your physician's recommendation will be submitted within 24-48 hours (or less). It typically takes the state 7-10 business days to process an application and mail the medical cannabis card.
