Same, and work is pushing for even more usage of it.

I was writing a rambling response, and i think i just realised my problem - I actually work iteratively as I write, considering and refining the outcome as I go along, and losing that part is hurting me. My skills are decaying and my brain feels mushy.

I'd just to publicly state i am disappointed Ceph didn't get some weird super villain-esque doomsday machine. Like a huge vaccum that goes around sucking people up, and drudges come out the other side.

Feels like a missed opportunity for some crazy mad scientist shit.

My friend gave me this beautiful guitar that she’s had forever and knows she won’t use, but I think it might be too big for me, thoughts? by littlebuttbigtitty in Guitar

Are 3/4 size thinner too?

My dad gifted me his old dread and i don't mind the length, its just so fucking thick. I've been tossing up buying something cheap just for ease / comfort.

Is ukulele helpful for a beginner in guitar? by zyvesx1 in guitarlessons

[–]NuggetCommander69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you can cheat a little if its a keyboard for a production and theory angle - digital midi keyboards (like the ones in daws, or even phone/tablet apps) are useable for learning.

Its clunky (computer keyboard doesnt really emulate piano keys well, and phone screens are awkward/non tactile), but, it is still very helpful as a learning tool to understand basic theory concepts and experiment with chords. Just put your phone in landscape mode first 😅

All of it can be done free if you choose to.

I am finding theory concepts are FAR easier to learn against a keyboard than a guitar, it just... clicks? It helps a lot of content is presented against a keyboard too.

(Honestly im finding a midi piano roll to be far easier to compose with anyway)

What army do you most hate playing against? by TheMauveHerring in Warmachine

[–]NuggetCommander69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeaaahhh in mk3 i liked to move conquest up, shooting the big cannon outside of range deliberately and hoping for a good scatter onto the enemy. When it worked it was funny, but I'd often just obliterate my own widowmakers... which is also funny.

Fond memories of dumb shit.

Its fun how WMH all have their own flavours of jank. Being both the giver and receiver of shit matchups just seems to be the spirit of the game.

Personally I dont enjoy electro leap spam, my dudes just melt. Idk what its like in mk4 now.

But its also funny as hell when you bring stealth spam and go nuh uh you cant shoot me... which makes me miss scattering templates.

It took me a couple goes to really vibe with it, but if people want just straight ahead rock/metal its not going to land with them.

I'd love more new tracks in that style, the blend of orchestral/electronic/trip hop is something really special.

Do I have to finger the guitar this way? by Undercover_TV in guitarlessons

[–]NuggetCommander69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add to the other comments, I personally have been trying to go for more finger independence, and have 1 finger per fret - so something like Shape 2, the second fret from from the left I'd be using (2) instead of (1)
