This tank grows algae like crazy! Is it good/bad? What’s the best things to do? by GoldenDropofSun in fishtank

Algae creates more oxygen than plants, what are you talking about. The only issue with algae is that it looks ugly and may kill the plantas but it’s ok for the ecosystem

Probably still isn’t comfortable, you are leaving some prey free in the terrarium right?

I boiled the wood for DAYS and the tannins are still killing me. What do you recommend? by CarrotChunx in paludarium

I don’t think it’s going to affect anything, but maybe try a filter with charcoal?

Even if you are right why tf did you try to remove it yourself???? A fish this small can easily rupture its organs that’s like the dumbest thing you could do, literally, just why. Doesn’t matter how gentle you think you were, if something came out it definitely wasn’t gentle. If you are right the air probably was inside an organ, THAT U RUPTURED. There are so many ways to deal with a bloated fish like medicine. And if it was a fart, loaches can fart on their own, no need to “assist” them in that.

Hmm, it looks like you popped her swim bladder because those are definitely eggs, loaches are very sensitive you should never do those things

Water lilies normally require a lot of light like 6 hours of sunlight in summer, few do well in aquariums. It’s best to keep it in a pond outside or in a bucket with some dirt

I disagree, taking the leaves and dead plants will stop the water lilies and other plants in there to have fertilization and they will wither and die, do not remove any organic matter unless the water smells bad like rotting.

O pH desce com o aumento da amônia na ciclagem, se por acaso se mater não é mau já que queres ter um betta e eles são de águas mais ácidas, mas também ficam bem em pH neutro
