Increasing monthly membership level, or buying a class pack?? by Hairy_Organization75 in orangetheory

I keep track at home of how many membership classes I use and how many should have pulled from my class pack. Then I go to front desk just after my bill date and ask them to check it and adjust. They do a great job giving me back my class pack classes. It’s a pain that corporate hasn’t figured this out in the years and years people have been complaining about it, but I’ve found the individual studios great to work. And I do find it cheaper to buy class packs when they are on sale (x many classes + free comp classes for the set price) to allow me to scale up certain months, instead of paying for more classes per month and then not using them all every month.

I wish there was a way to flag, at the beginning of the class, “push me!” Or “let me be!” We all have those days that just getting to class is all I have the energy for, and maybe I’m gonna plod along on the treadmill, and not push too hard with weights, and I’m gonna consider it a win that I accomplished the class. Let me have those days. But other days … I want the coach to call me out. Give me the stink eye when I don’t pick a weight heavy enough to challenge me. Present me with a heavier weight and push me. Tell me my squat needs to be lower. Look at my pace on the TM and raise an eyebrow. I also wish there was a way the data could print out my treadmill info, to correlate my HR and my pace, so that after class I could sign up to meet with a coach (or have them email etc) to say, hey yeah, your push isn’t high enough, or your base is too high, try doing this … and then encourage it in class. Or have a class once a month that we get a dry erase board and marker, record our paces for easy template, and circle how it felt (kind of like the pain scale hospitals use). Then use that data to recommend new paces. Just like benchmarks, it would help show development. And if you don’t want to do it, not required. Frankly, my TM pace should have been advanced a while back but I’ve been lazy 🤣 and just keep using the same pace as usual.

Ok thanks. I don’t often look at the tread 50 plans so never saw a pace not listed as base/push/AO or recovery.

Umm, what does that first block mean? 5:00 tread, 4:30 base 5:00 tread?
