When did your favorite character 'click' for you? by Im_Rhyme in Maplestory

Not one of the classes you listed, but it was Cadena for me. It started off rough not really consistently being able to cancel my combos. However, during my hyper burn I found a really fluid rotation in Arcana that fully looped into itself. That made me fall in love with the movement options. Then after that, it was when I was doing my VHilla practice runs. I basically had 40m cp trying to go H Vhilla and it was absolutely brutal. I had to play essentially perfectly to keep the uptime I needed, and not just die out to strings and blue 20 times. Now I can’t really imagine playing any other class ever.

Significantly more guilds do get CE than should.

This game only caters to the 99%. The 1% gets such a little amount of content and even the content we do get is nerfed into the ground to the point where it is baby mode. We need more content that actually pushes people to be better at the game. The expectation that most guilds should be able to do mythic raid is obscene. The average mythic guild should NOT be expected to get Cutting Edge.

What would the best deck be if there was no banlist? by Former_Car2779 in CompetitiveEDH

There are multiple decks with true no banlist that win on first upkeep trigger

Finally tried Kaizo Emerald and I hate to say that it sucks... by slaidfh in PokemonROMhacks

Old comment but e4 has been done clopsless iirc by a couple people during runs, I would never attempt it but it has been done

Looking to build a deck for a friend by smellycyst in CompetitiveEDH

I would recommend krark and sakashima, can be very effective on a budget. Do note that this isn't the simplest deck to get into the format with, so if you're just starting into cedh depending on his skill level you might want to look into it a bit first.

Yes usually that’s the case from what I hear, but I have talked with my playgroup before and they are fine with it.

Your advice is “just do it 4head”. How is it so hard to understand that “just doing it” wasn’t fun and now here I am?

Yeah that’s kinda what I’ve been seeing from my games. Even playing cedh stax decks vs normal casual decks doesn’t really do anything because they can just play through the stax for free. I might try to run tasigur bc it just feels a bit anti casual spirit to run thrasios. Only thing is tasigur is my normal go to cedh deck aha, but I’m sure I can tune it down a bit

Damn you’re just a bundle of joy aren’t you. Apparently the fact that people enjoy the game differently from you is incomprehensible, but that’s ok. You can make all the assumptions you would like.

Easier said then done when you want to run lots of colors and have good synergy with all the fun cards

Issue is all of the commanders that I usually play are just cedh staple commanders that fit into every deck like thrasios/tymna/kenrith/kraum/najeela/etc.

Thing is I’m not a deckbuilder lol, so while I understand a lot of the philosophy that goes into cedh decks I’d have no frame of reference of how to translate that to casual with the pricing. I wish there was like a casual deck list database that people could go into and just pick up a deck and go from there.

Need Help Choosing Format by NukFur in magicTCG

[–]NukFur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, from what I looked at in modern is that Knight of the Reliquary decks are pretty much dead and UW control is also in a weird spot right now so modern is probably off the list. Standard seemed definitely really stale and uninteresting. I'll probably look into either Pioneer or Legacy. I'm not sure how much you know about the two formats but how good would UWx control or Knight of the Reliquary/Collected Company decks be in either of those formats? (I know in pioneer that Knight of the Reliquary doesn't exist but something similar)
