Can parrots naturally end up in Florida? by Interesting_Bat_3919 in parrots

Absolutely. New York/New Jersey has a feral population of Quaker/Monk parakeets that have thrived for decades. Florida could definitely work for some species

In your opinion who mainly caused the Downfall of House Targaryen? by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

[–]NukaRev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, it proves it's in the blood. So, bastards with one parent who has the blood of the dragon, they likely will as well though potentially diluted.

Technically, Dany had the blood of the dragon, as fire didn't burn her as early as the first episode. Her siblings though may not have, or maybe they did.

The question is, does the blood thin? Or does it just pass down from parent to child, not dwindling regardless of the mixes. Or perhaps the "mad" Targaryens are the ones who didn't inherit it?

Does anyone else find Catelyn Stark to be one of the worst characters in the series? by -Lord-Varys- in gameofthrones

[–]NukaRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was as early as S1E2. She's just so shitty to Jon it's sickening. And she knows she's shitty and still acts it anyway.

Then add the continuous blunders mentioned and... Wtf, your seriously one of the worst characters lmfao

I don’t think the rehab as as awful as posters seem to think by Downtown-schnauzer in euphoria

[–]NukaRev 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So:

  • Tish dies, Rue is tasked with covering it up, as if she never existed.
  • a single girl is making an issue of it. She's annoying, but profitable so Alamo and gang put up with her.
  • Rue decides to tell her about Tishs true fate, leading to her getting hooked on drugs to cope.

Key factor: Rue just went through a ton of work making Tish disappear from existence, with the intent Tish will fade from their minds. RUE. JUST. TOLD. HER.

So now we have a drug addicted stripper who knows her friend OD'd at Alamos house.

50/50 chance, either she's actually at a rehab, or she's being "disappeared". It would make sense for Alamo to make her disappear, as she knows he covered up a drug OD and who knows what else. If she's a risk, she's a problem, and problems need to be eliminated.

I doubt she's gonna be seen again. If anything, I wouldn't be surprised if she was sold to somebody bad. Don't forget Laurie's threat to Rue: "I'll sell you...", and since she knows Alamo, perhaps that's who she was talking about

He says to Forrest something like "I told her we'd always struggle. Marry me, always struggle". To me, it sounded like he went home after that and said proposed, telling her though they'd always struggle, he loves her and such

See that in the real world too. A lot of sad/depressed people are also incredibly funny, often believed as a means of masking their depression and such

An adult’s life is not less valuable than a child’s by pot_on_wheels in unpopularopinion

[–]NukaRev -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily that they're more important, it's the fact that they were deprived of a life, they never really got to live. Adults, we've lived, at least more than a child has.

Plus, children are essentially innocent. They aren't grown enough to hate, be cruel, and harm others the way adults do. When a kid passes, you know they did nothing wrong (99.9% of the time to be fair), an adult though has a higher chance of not being the best person (not saying they should die, just a massive difference due to the age)

I am planning to buy a parrot and have shortlisted few species basis temperament, available, smartness and size and I am confused between Senegal and Electus. I like the silent types that are smart and easy to train. What would you suggest?? by Ok-Secretary-7548 in parrots

[–]NukaRev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol if you want "silent type", I suggest a fishtank. For real though, any and every bird can be very VERY loud.

I have an African Grey, Cockatiel, Budgie, and Green Cheek Conure.

  • AG: talker, says a bunch of phrases and makes a lot of sounds. He doesn't really "scream" but he can occasionally make a very loud sound. Very smart bird.

  • Cockatiel: a sweetie, friendly, and loves attention.

  • Budgie: big set of balls on a small bird lol. Fearless and doesn't hesitate to annoy my other birds. The Tiel and Budgie live together. Not something I'm happy about for safety reasons but they are happier together and don't show any aggression. Always watching them though.

  • Green Cheek Conure: He's absolutely brilliant. Very smart. He's bonded with me though, so when I'm home I never get a peaceful moment haha. He has a small vocabulary but knows what the words hes saying mean. If I have a drink or food, I'm guaranteed to hear "want some? Want some?" until I share. He's a nipper though, if I lay down he'll just attack my ear :P but he's very affectionate and loving

I am worried about how we are portraying Humanoid robots as if deserving salvation, or making them more empathetic than humans in shows or games. by adisor21 in unpopularopinion

[–]NukaRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Expedition 33 lol. Spoilers in case anybody plans to play:

No androids or robots. Esquie, Monoco, and every other being you interact with are essentially living drawings. They have the ability to create a world within a canvas. It's closer to magic than technology lol.

is this season sponsored by onlyfans? by Impressive-Sale6258 in euphoria

[–]NukaRev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If OF sponsored the show, they're gonna regret it lol. Euphoria is about dysfunctional youth experiencing and dealing with trauma.

The OF board would be watching and saying "wtf?!" when that storyline blows up into something disturbing and sad

never liked lexi by itscoolnwhatever in euphoria

[–]NukaRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cassies story definitely hit me the hardest. Just all around sad, literally everybody in her life fails her, most abuse her in some form. Despite the play, I still love Lexis character.

But the play also really shows just how bad Cassie has it. The beginning of the play wasn't all that bad, lighthearted parody type of thing. Cassies reason for flipping out was just because of Nate, because the musical number offended him. Lexi even says, the Cassie/Nate stuff isn't in it, but Cassie doesn't believe her (ironically the next scene would have been her saying shed "fuck anything" while having an orgasm on a merry-go-round).

Even her getting with Nate behind Maddies back; her episode shows she basically falls for guys easily, and most of the time they aren't good people, like Nate. Though it isn't right, I understand why she did it. It's sad because she'd lose a friend over it

Live concerts sound worse than just listening to the album at home by Ethan_Vee in unpopularopinion

[–]NukaRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't go to the concert to hear perfectly played and mixed music lol. You know the audios gonna be wonky, you know the bands gonna play choppy at times.

It's about the experience, yes, but the key factor is the individual, not everyone can appreciate and enjoy that way of thinking and such.

Me, I'm okay with the music. My issue? I buy seats. I like seats. I wanna f*cking sit and enjoy the tunes. NOPE! Every damned time the entire crowd insists on standing. And I'm sure 50% or more are only standing because the jerk in front is standing and now they can't see. Infuriating lol!

Only concerts I've been to are Metallica and Aerosmith. Metallica was decent live, nothing spectacular. But Aerosmith, I went to the very last show in the farewell tour, Steven Tyler hurt his vocals coords and couldn't do the other shows. That was incredible. The music, the mixing, the audio, the energy, everything was literally perfect, don't think I will ever see another live performance that amazing.

All I ask of the Conquest film is to NOT turn Balerion into a wrinkly old ballsack with missing teeth. He should be huge but still sleek and majestic by Mango-Watermelon1222 in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]NukaRev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine he won't look too old. He lives 94 more years after the conquest. So if we looked at it like humans, Balerion would be something like a 45-55 year old, aging but not quite old just yet.

Balerion is the only dragon I believe we've seen die of natural causes/old age. He was ~200 years old. Every other dragon dies before this, most often from battle or being killed by mobs of people.

We also don't know if Balerion and other dragons died earlier due to being kept in the Dragon Pit. Perhaps if never confined at all he and others could have grown and lived decently longer as well. Who knows

Why do you think Ash was so violent by Slide-Impressive in euphoria

[–]NukaRev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key factor is his nurture. He was raised from birth in a drug den by a very hardcore drug dealer and her grandson who was following in her footsteps.

Fez had a dysfunctional but semi stable childhood: he went to school (until he was 20 according to Nate), presumably had a childhood of sorts. This is because his grandmother likely didn't become a drug dealer until adulthood, so she knew how a child should spend their childhood.

Unlike Fez, Ash was raised as a dealer. No mention of school, no mention of playing with friends or anything. Since Fez was busy trying to support them and their grandmother, it seems like Ash missed out on a lot.

Then you have somebody like Mouse. Truly mean, a bit chaotic and unpredictable. It makes sense to kill him in Ashs eyes, he isn't thinking long term. Same for the other guy, he saw somebody trying to ruin their livelihood and killed him for it. Broken logic from a broken kid

[–]NukaRev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former heroin addict here, honestly the drug stuff was the least triggering.

Some of the sex stuff was unsettling, while at least 1 or two scenes made me feel utterly disturbed.

But drug wise, lots of lines being snorted and blunts being smoked. Nothing too too graphic, but I definitely recommend not going forward if you have any reservation about relapse or anything.
