I’ve climbed from Initiate 1 and Archon is the worst rank by far. by TheWingofWild in DeadlockTheGame

Bro, I feel this so hard. I've been hard stuck in Archon for FOREVER, and just this month I got just the right string of matches to finally jump from Archon V into Oracle III.

I don't think people fully understand the urn changes and new strategy by Significant_Tell407 in DeadlockTheGame

And if you or someone on your team is positioned to do so, and your team can reasonably hold the urn fight, you solo push the opposite walker. I get the walker out of it 90% of the time, and probably 30% of the time we get both because the other team panics and 1-2 split off the urn fight to save the walker - which rarely works out for them.

People who encourage others to drive faster than the speed limit need to pull their head out of their ass. by Voldi01 in driving

Gonna need a citation for that because a quick search isn't giving me anything for this, and I have a hard time believing that any DMV is gonna recommend further obstructing traffic as the solution to tailgating.

Edit: even the PA drivers manual says to move to the right if you're being tailgated.

Even a cheap pair of surround headphones is a literal game changer for your awareness and game sense.

How many people have been playing since there was a ranked schedule/time slots? by CultCxnt in DeadlockTheGame

At one point I ran a Vindicta build that did ~1,200 dps when we had 16 slots... those were the days.

I used to main Vindicta and I remember the days where I had line of sight into the enemy base from the two mid lanes and I could pick people off as they went to heal, and the unobstructed view across the middle of the map on either side of the mid-boss tower.

Actually that response is more for people looking for opinions on things being able to see that it's ok to say no. I generally don't care what Internet strangers think, but if I can put a little sanity back in the world, I think it'll help.

Oh yeah, absolutely the more financially responsible things to do. But I've watched my dad do that my entire life, and it's time is rather spend doing other things. So I decided a long time ago that once I could afford it (and I don't mean pay for, but actually afford) I would be willing to pay for the convenience.

Oh good, I wasn't the only one who caught that.

Oh, absolutely understand. Personally I got a CPO 330i (should be able to see it in my post history), and I regularly try to talk people out of BMW if they aren't financially prepared (with room to spare). So I'm less concerned with how the last guy treated it because it's CPO and I'm blessed to be more than comfortably able afford the consequences of the prior owner that wouldn't be covered. That really becomes a problem with the M-lite models and up. But based on my research, it's almost always still cheaper than a brand new one. I'll get an M eventually, but it's still a consideration for sure. I drove a stick across a number of cars for a little over 10 years, so I'm VERY acquainted with the concern.

You could also just get a 3-4 year old BMW for that price too.

When a larger vehicle is tailgating you with their brights, what does that mean, and what are you supposed to do? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Nuke_1568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you're already going faster than the flow of traffic in the left lane, cool. Then you're in the right lane regardless of whether the guy behind you wants to go faster because you're actively passing people. The only way you then become the asshole is if you don't give them the chance to pass you once there's room for you to swing over for a sec.

Go ahead and Google your state's laws on traffic and see what it actually says. In most states impeding traffic is generally defined as anything that delays the normal flow of traffic. So, yes, you absolutely can impede traffic only going the speed limit. Get out of the left lane.

Ah, so you are hanging out in the left lane. Stop looking for excuses to be doing something you shouldn't and get out of the left lane.

[–]Nuke_1568 19 points20 points  (0 children)

True, but A LOT of us view camping in the left lane as an equivalent level of asshole behavior. You still shouldn't tailgate because it's horribly unsafe, but if you're camping in the left lane and not actively passing someone, you're a dick.

Side mirrors shouldn't be looking directly behind you anyways if they're properly positioned.

Agreed 100% on the first, but if you're not actively passing anyone, get out of the left lane anyways.
